“Gone downhill”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

As a group we were very disappointed by the menu and food for Sunday lunch. We have been a few times before and enjoyed the food.

On this occasion we all felt that we had been ripped off £9.95 for pie and chips. It wasn't even a good pie.

“Great Cafe - Good Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

The Honey Cafe is an ideal spot for food at any time, situated in the village of Bronllys in a quite location, now that the by pass has taken the traffic away, with great views of the Black Mountains.
The Honey Cafe has a very friendly atmosphere, with great Staff and what a choice of meals, drinks and cakes to chose from. Reasonable prices and what I like is the generous helpings on the plate, never left feeling I could eat more. The Cafe can get very busy on times, but as long as you are prepared to wait a short period of time it is well worth it. I have never tried the Texmex in the evenings but I have been told that it is just as good as the day time menus if not more so

“Lovely cafe with a great menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

A lovely cafe with a homely atmosphere. Great menu with something for everyone - lots of cakes, sandwiches, jacket potatoes plus main meals. I had a toasted sandwich which at just over £4 was excellent value as it came with a large side salad and homemade (?) coleslaw. Nice choice of teas and coffees as well as wine! I did feel that the tea was overpriced at £2 each, but the waitress did bring out a large pot so I had several top ups! A bit slow to clear the dirty tables, but it was a busy afternoon.

“Faultless - great breakfast, superb service and stunning views!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

Came here for breakfast on local recommendation and we were not disappointed! Needing some comfort food at the end of a rather lively weekend, this was the perfect antidote to our nocturnal excesses. We all had English breakfasts, each of us making some fiddly request for a variation of some kind or other, without a batted eyelid from our smiling and incredibly patient waitress - she was a real gem! The food was generous and tasty and the view is to die for. Thank you Honeys, you are wonderful! From the men in tweed xxxxxx

“OK for Tea but I prefer the TexMex in the evening”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Called in on a Sunday Afternoon whilst visiting relatives in Brecon. I have eaten here quite a few times in the evening and always found the food to be good. So we stopped for a cuppa and snack. Our Hot drinks arrived after about 10 minutes but it then took another 15 minutes for our food to come. We'd only ordered sandwiches and a Welsh Tea so it was nothing too difficult. Sandwiches were fresh and full, the cakes in the welsh tea had probably seen better days.

I'll give the Honey Cage a miss if i want a daytime snack, but will return again to try out the evening menu.
