“I've managed to visit here at last!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

Fifteen years ago, I set myself the project of seeing all 46 English and Welsh cathedrals and this week, managed to visit 2 of my final 3, Brecon and St David's - done in a single day, thanks to a friend!
Brecon was small but, absolutely beautiful and with an almost tangible sense of peace and prayerfulness. Set in a tiny, well kept Close, it was so quiet yet full of a sense of being loved and well cared for. Well worth going out of one's way to visit and perhaps combining it with a drive across the magnificent Brecon Beacons.
My one small criticism is that the road signs to drive to it through the town, are not great and we drove round trying to get to it, for apps 15 minutes.
Other than that, absolutely beautiful and I now only have one more Cathedral to see!

“Regular coffee stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

The Cathedral is a bit difficult to find - not well signposted - it's a bit outside the town centre so a lot of people never bother to take a look. It's well worth making the effort as it's a beautiful Cathedral and grounds. The cafe there is a very handy stop off too. If you want a very nice wooded walk, then Priory gardens is behind the cathedral, along the River Honddu. Go through the graveyard there's a good circular path for about a mile - great wildlife in there too

“Beautiful”

Cathedral was peaceful and beautiful. Worth a visit, there is also a cafe on location.
Did not manage to go into the main room as there was a service.

“Hidden but well worth finding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

Most cathedrals are in the city centre but this one takes a bit of finding, being on the edge of the town. But well worth the effort, with plenty of history.

“A tranquil visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

A lovely cathedral a little bit off the beaten track. Also a lovely walk from there around a forest walk. Partook coffee in the on site cafe which was a bonus.
