“Very enjoyable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

The lady at the entrance was very helpful and very informative. She explained about the cathedral in a helpful manner. The cathedral was full of places to see and the choir were rehearsing. They sounded beautiful. It gave a great feeling to the visit.

“Serene cathedral in quiet setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Brecon Cathedral is located out of the town centre, hidden away in a secluded hillside location. It nestles behind the trees in a walled close alongside the remains of former monastic buildings which now house a Heritage Centre and Restaurant. There is a regimental chapel, an ancient carved font and some interesting stained glass. The Pilgrim tearoom has some healthy snacks and there are examples of works from local artists on sale.

“Cathedral with nice stained glass”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

The cathedral is a little out of the town centre, about a 10 minute walk with a slight climb at the end. But worth the little walk to have a look inside. There is some interesting stained glass all round and it is still in use daily.

“Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We always stop here on the way through (usually returning home from Elan Valley) as we love their Pilgrims Tearoom (and we pick up some shopping at Morrisons just 3 minutes drive away!)
It's an ancient cathedral so well worth a look and they don't mind you walking round with your dog in lovely gardens and meadow. Excellent tea, cheese scones and Murrumbidgee cake (fruit cake!) to stoke up on before the rest of the journey home!

“A must for visitors to see”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Whenever my family or friends visit us here in Brecon I always recommend a visit to our small but interesting Cathedral. Discover some very interesting military and historic flags displayed, and you might even find some relatives in the war memorial book as my father in law from Lancashire did to his surprise. The building itself is lovely and interesting and the grounds are pretty with
fabulous food available too. Nearby take a walk through "The Groves" also too lovely to miss if you are in the vicinity
