Camp site just for small tents very long grass no pitch markings showers very poor and the owners were very rude. we were told where we could pitch and we went off for a long bike ride to find when we returned and i was cooking tea the owner wanting us to move due to them not having enough parking spaces. i said we ve only pitched where the lad said and its late she was very rude and made us feel un welcome. also our friend s came the next morning to meet us and the owner was very rude and spoke down to him so he was nt allowed down the drive and waited for us up the hill and he s a local. all i can say is we will never stay here again and i would nt advice any one to either.

Came to the Priory Mill by chance as we were coming for a cycling trip around the Beacons and set the sat nav to take us straight to Brecon. Thankfully we happened to notice the campsite just in time to turn in.

Delightful little place with a cottage and a workshop, hens and a little dog running around and a nice river running alongside the small strip of pitches. There is even the option to buy freshly laid eggs.

Whoever complained about having to split rubbish for recycling, go back to Butlins, this is an organic farm you moron.

Little log stools available to borrow along with fire pits and wheel barrows to carry things from the car to your pitch. They really have thought of everything.

So close to town and yes, it is close to the road but once your tent is pitched next to the river you will not see, hear or think about it.

Bit of a bummer paying for each shower and hot water for dishwashing would be handy but really, a beautiful campsite with a nice, friendly family of staff.

Stayed at this campsite over the May Bank Holiday weekend, having booked it a couple of months earlier.

The campsite itself is very beautiful, set in a farily long, thin meadow with the River Honddu running along its length. Although we visitied on a B/H, the campsite was not too overcrowded, as I understand that bookings are limited to 30. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, and live in a picture postcard old mill, which looks beautiful in the setting sun.

As others have said, the site could benefit from some additional factilities. Although we didnt have to wait for toilets / showers, there were times when we "went without", rather than joining a queue. The 4 minute showers were ok, but are definitely designed to speed things up.

The location is superb, in a quiet little meadow / valley with no more than a 5/10 minute walk into the middle of Brecon. There is a fairly busy road next to the site, but this is set up a 30ft bank, and there was no noise from it whatsoever.

The site was fairly family focussed, and although we didnt have one (as there weren't enough to go around, due to some recent thefts) the campsite does have some "fire pits" on which you can have a camp fire / bbq. A nice touch if you have a family and want that experience.

You can fish in the river for an additional £4 a day, although this is fairly expensive for what you get. Nice little river, but if you are after somewhere where you can stay and have a couple hours fishing in the morning / evening, then you may want to look elsewhere.

Perhaps a little steep at £15 / night for two people.

Top tip: If you like Indian food, try Zeera on the road into Brecon from the campsite (c 5 min walk). Very good value.

Very nice campsite, next to the river, and seemed to be sheltered from most of the wind. Great being able to have a camp fire - needed it as it did get cold in the night!
Really nice toilet/wash facilities, but could do with more than 1 men's toilet/2 showers. It seemed to be manageable though, due to the limited number of tents allowed on the site.
50p for 4 minutes in the shower wasn't ideal. I guess this was to speed people up, so everyone could get there turn!

Overall, good stay.

Turned up on Friday having booked week earlier. Site delightfully placed with river flowing to the side. The pitches were not allocated allowing us to find a location. The toilet block spotless and modern. We loved our stay and will be back. Thanks Suzie and Noel

We arrived at priory mill, the site looked very clean and well set out. It was due to be a wet night and weekend so there where only 6 or 8 tents this weekend. The owners where very pleasant and helpful we could choose to pitch our two tents wherever we wanted.

The facilities toilet, showers and wash up area where clean and tidy, hot water in the area to have awash, however, I could wel imagine that in the height of summer, or busy weekends that the facilities would be under pressure due to there only being one toilet for males and two for females. Only two showers which costs 50p for 4 mins. It could do with another shower block the same as the current at the other end of the site.

But saying all of this, we had a good weekend, and we only had a 5 min walk into town.

I would use this site again. But out of season.
