“Over priced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

The room was very small noisy and over priced for the area. Breakfast was slow to arrive and was over cooked. Would definitely not stay here again. Notice there is an excessive amount of positive reviews and one questions if they are genuine because of the basic standards.

Room Tip: Really would not recommend this guest house.

Good location for Tough Mudder Event

Room was everything we expected, clean and comfortable

Local pub close by was spot on as it served good quality food and got 10% off the bill because we proved we were staying at the Grove Guest House

Breakfast were perfect - option of full English or cereal

Great stay, would definitely recommend it

Thank you for your review

The breakfast supplied to you was a firm favourite with early risers - Breakfast TO GO.

Guests on breakfast stay may request the offering you mentioned of croissants/jams and porridge served to your room for departure prior to the kitchen opening. If you are just in a hurry then once the kitchen is open you may order a hot sandwich TO GO.

Kindest regards

We stayed at the grove from Friday to Sunday. There was 3 of us in a room which we still found spacious, the bathroom was also a very good size. We got there after 8pm on the Friday and were welcomed by Peter and when we informed him we would be up early the next morning and would miss breakfast Peter was very accommodating and supplied us with porridge, croissants and various jams so that we could have have something to eat before we went out. When we got back in the afternoon the room had been cleaned and our tea supplies restocked. It is situated in a nice quiet area but also close to local pubs and town centre each of them about 10 mins in different directions. I would recommend staying at the grove guest house.

Stayed here for 3 nights with mum, had room 1, nice and big, twin beds and lovely bathroom.
Fabulous cooked breakfast - sausages are too die for! Staff very helpful and polite.

Only thing that spoilt our stay was guests arriving back in the early hours and deciding to have a full scale conversation in the hallway with no consideration for others that may be trying to sleep.
Would we stay again......yes, if we were visiting Wrexham again

It was a nice week for my group at Grove Guest. The service is very good. Hotel is clean and not to far to center. If you need any help please feel free to ask Peter and Carol.
Grove Guest has not dinner service so it is not really perfect for business travel maybe. You need 5-10 min walking for dinner (Europe/Chinese restaurant). It is a little difficult for you if raining. However, Grove Guest was my good choice.

We were here only for a night but our experience was wonderful. First of all we arrived very late but the reception was kept open for us till very late in night. The lady at reception not only welcomed us but guided very properly about everything. Nice and comfoting rooms for family stay. Food was as per our expectations next morning. We left by afternoon but my wife left some of her jwellery at the room. I am very thankful to the staff that they not only realized it but mede sure that we will get it then. Amazing experience.
Thanks a lot for everything.

We arrived late into town and were desperate for a room. Pushed the bell and within 5 minutes were in a comfortable room. Very helpful staff. we are from the USA and were not sure of some of the routes and they were very helpful even printed out a map and turn by turn direction to our next stop. Would recommend.

We particularly enjoy assisting our guests who may need that extra little bit of help in making a strange area become a welcoming one. It is what makes our job worth while.
