“If Papa Lazaru opened a cafe...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

...this would be it.
If you like middle of the road food in a cramped, unpleasant, awkward setting - this is definitely the place for you!
Budget food and servings reminiscent of war-time portions are to be had here.
Dining here is an experience comparable to a scene from The League of Gentlemen.

“A* cafe, very pleasant staff, top notch food! Highly recommend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

What a fantastic find this place is! Great home cooked chips which is a real novelty to frozen. Staff are really nice and friendly can't do enough for you. Place was really busy which is always a very good sIgn. I will definitely come again and food is very good value for money. Generous portion considering you would pay the same money and only get a coffee and a teacake elsewhere! Thanks for a lovely afternoon and hope to see you soon.

“Can't have it your way”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012 via mobile

I am writing this before the food has arrived as it cheesed me off that they advertise home made chips and all day breakfast, but despite ordering 2 extras on my breakfast they couldn't swap hash browns for chips at 3pm. Apart from that, the place looks very clean and the staff are friendly and polite. The prices are on the steep side for a cafe £5.50 for a breakfast with 1 bacon and 1 sausage. Usual price £4.50 to include tea or coffee, but I have ordered extra tomatoes and extra mushrooms. Food review will appear after the dash. - food looks great, but they left off the hash browns after they wouldn't swap them, then when I asked for the hash browns they made me feel stupid by saying he wants the hash browns now.

“Fantastic, Brilliant, Superb, Delicious, best cafe in UK!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012 via mobile

I live in Plymouth and spend a lot of time eating and drinking in cafe's around the South West and on my various travels. On a mini break to Chester and Wrexham I saw this place highlighted as a must visit place to eat. The Priory Street Cafe has to be one of the best cafe's I have ever been to. Staff were fantastic, very friendly and attentive. The food was all freshly cooked and the chips are to die for. Atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. I ate here each day during my stay. I will certainly come back again even if it is 6 hours away. Well worth the travel and I am dumbfounded by the other reviews. They couldn't be further from what I experienced and enjoyed! Top place and look forward to going there again.
