“Unmissable”

My girlfriend and I stopped off here on the way down Yr Wyddfa(Snowdon) on a squlid day. What an amazing place and a lovely genuine guy as well. The cottage has been at the foot of the mountain for about nine years. It is an authentic cottage with stone floors and log fires. There are great views of Llanberris. The Belgian hot chocolate is the best as are the home cooked Welsh cakes . Lots of reasons to stay including the beer and Welsh whiskey, but mostly the conversation. Steffan has a great local knowledge and an extensive book collection. He is always pleased to welcome walkers and even if you are the only people there he will stay open until you are ready to leave. The art of customer service is alive and well at Pen Ceunant.

Fantastic Welcome - just what you need after a long hard walk - food good too ;)

Host was very welcoming, let us take our dog, muddy boots and weary bones into his cafe. Much needed rest before last bit of walk to car.

thank you

“What a welcome from a shining star of North Wales.......”

Steffan is at the heart of this truly original concept combining a superb collection of work by the late Welsh artist Kyffin Williams, together with coffees, hot chocolate, and many mouthwatering treats to sample, just off the Llanberis path.
It is a steep walk, although, you can drive as it is only a short distance. Once there, you may choose to be seated inside or out to admire the never ending views of Llyn Padarn and beyond, depending on the weather!!!
You will always get a smile from Steffan, whether you are just popping in for a cuppa, asking directions, or watering your dog as you wander up the path to the great summit of Snowdon.
A real treat for anyone who enjoys a good coffee and cake, with magnificent views and real true hospitality.....wishing you much success Steffan , and thanks for your generosity.....

Up steep single track road. Not sure about wheel chair access. More of a tea rooms. Clean shower for walkers, and toilets. Little art gallery. Nice views. Close to Snowdon narrow gauge railway. Small car park. Real coal/wood fire, in the winter.
