the welsh slate museum is by no means a dull and boring museum.
You enter and go at your own pace following a map given on arrival, with various films, exhibitions and demonstrations along the way at certain times.
The demonstration of slate splitting is a must-see and the guy doing it, is a real crowd pleaser, with a great sense of humour and is very happy to answer any questions before, during or after the demonstration.
The museum is large enough without being overwhelming, some is outside so may not suit you on a really wet day, though we did go in the rain and it didn't dampen spirits.
It is a truly excellent insight into such an important part of welsh history and it's FREE! what more can you want.
