My Husband and I took our grandaughter on this fabulous railway in Aug 2012.It wasn't the cheapest attraction but Oh Boy was it worth it.We were fortunate as to the weather. It was a beautiful clear day and when we got to the summit the hour long ride was truly worth it. We could even see Ireland. The facilities at the summit are first class. The views whilst travelling up and down on the train were breathtaking. If I have a niggle about anything its the seats are basic and hard for such a long journey and when you are at the summit you only have twenty minutes to pay a call to the toilets and look at the shops. If its busy ( as it was on our visit) we only had time to go to the toilet as the queue was a very long one.Sad really as I would have enjoyed a longer spell at the top. If you miss the train you have to walk back down you are not allowed to catch a later one.But the staff were very friendly and the guide on the train told us every little thing about the mountain.
