“Convenient & Quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

With 500+ reviews, we don't have much new to add except some photos we did not see.

We stayed at Tyn-y-Fron for 3 nights. We found it a convenient location for doing day trips. We explored a good chunk of northwest Wales from this location. It had the convenience of being able to get everywhere but still being in a remote and quiet area.

Our room, #1, was on the back of the B&B and very quiet. Our friends stayed in #3 which faced the road. I could hear the traffic from there but not when the windows were closed. They said they didn't hear anything.

The hosts were very nice helping us plan our day trips and suggesting routes. The breakfast were fantastic and something we looked forward to each day. We really enjoyed the artistic touches in the room which made us feel like we were staying in an up-scale hotel.

Room Tip: Best views are in the front, but back is a bit quieter.

This lovely guest house offers everything that it says on the tin. My boyfriend and I stayed there a couple of weeks ago and were indulged by the relaxing atmosphere, great hospitality, wonderful breakfast and a good night's sleep (much needed after two days hiking in the Snowdonia hills!). Mike was extremely helpful, finding space for our dirty rucksacks and waterproofs so we didn't have to take them into the (extremely clean) room 2 which we really appreciated. And there was also a personal touch from Lesley who called to find out our arrival time in case we'd decided to come early when she was popping out. We both agree this is the nicest and most accommodating place we have ever stayed and hope to be back for a visit soon.

We recently stayed one night in the Valley View Suite after having climbed Snowdon. We arrived to a lovely, large, clean room with a huge comfortable bed, lovely seating area and the most stunning view. Lesley was very welcoming and gave us a very good recommendation for dinner. The breakfast was delicious - the sausages and bacon were fantastic - and what better way to enjoy it than in the comfort of your own room with a stunning view and after having had a fantastic sleep. I wished we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this B&B. Thank you very much Mike and Lesley

Room Tip: The view from the Valley suite is fantastic

We thoroughly enjoyed a 3 night stay in the Valley View suite at this delighful B & B in a most beautiful setting. In fact I would say its the most stylish and relaxing place we have stayed in! Everything was perfect, from the lovely comfortable huge bed , swivel leather reclining chairs positioned by the big bay window to take in the fantasric view, breakfast in our room , lovely spotless en-suite and everywhere warm and welcoming to come back to after a long day out, Lesley and Mike are good friendly hosts amd nothing was too much trouble.I would highly recommend Tyn y Fron to anyone and would definately return tomorrow .. if it wasnt so far from North Devon. In one word .....Excellent !
Diolch un fawr iawn, Mike and Lesley

We have recently enjoyed a week at the Tyn y Fron Cottage for a week and found it to be a most comfortable stay!
The cottage had all the comforts of home and yet we were just yards from the Tyn y Fron bed and breakfast - where you can enjoy a top class breakfast, cooked to order!
The gardens were well maintained and the property enjoyed views of the beautiful Gwydyr Forest. A short, 7 minute walk to Betws y Coed through the fields and across the suspension bridge makes the town very easily accessible.
Mike and Lesley were most welcoming and found the time to give us a sneak viewing of one or two of the rooms in the guest house. We were very impressed with the high standard of accomodation and are sorely tempted to book a stay in the Valley View Suite next time. The view of the forest is breathtaking.
There are plenty of local attractions to keep you busy nearby. Our son particulalry enjoyed the Tree Top adventure course and we also drove over to Llanberis for a visit to the Electric Mountain and Snowdon Mountain Railway.
We would definitely recommend Tyn y Fron to anyone planning to holiday in this beautiful area of North Wales.

Stayed one night in the valley view suite. It was comfortable, clean, gorgeous decor, fabulous views of the valley. very relaxing, highly recommend. Particularly enjoyed the breakfast in the room! Had stayed in the cottage with the entire family two years ago and always planned on returning without the kids to stay in the B&B. It was worth the wait!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this lovely B&B. I stayed in bedroom 1 and found it extremely cosy, comfortable and clean with very tasteful decor. No traffic from the main road could be heard from inside the cottage. My only regret is that i didn't book a longer stay :) in a very beautiful part of wales.
