“Well, it's food at least”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2012

Not a good meal but it's something if nothing else is open. I had the breakfast with toasts. They were great, bread was not Hovis but proper bread loaf. The rest was just average. Eggs were overcooked, sausages were cheap ones you get from supermarkets. Wife had a chicken burger sandwich, which was, again, frozen from Tesco. Bread was huge tho, making the burger look even smaller than it was.

“Great chips!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2012

If you want good chips in Betws y Coed then the Spinnaker is the place to go. Had a very naughty chip bap - it was more a bap with a plate of chips!! Delicious chips barely any grease on the plate when finished, yummy!

“Do not eat here get a sandwich at the local SPAR”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2011

Our 3 year old wanted pizza and garlic bread for tea, we had seen the spinnaker earlier in the day and thought it looked OK, modern, clean and was reasonably busy.
After a wait of 20 - 25 minutes the pizza and garlic bread arrived. It was inedible.
We ordered a meat lovers pizza which was supposed to have pepperoni, steak and chicken on it. The brown and white cubes of something mushy may have been some sort of meat subsitute or waste product, none of them had any taste apart from salt.
Being a seafood and pizza specializing restaurant I would have expected the bases to be made on site, I douby that this was true, the texture and the taste suggested that they may have been made from poor quality cardboard.
Both the garlic bread and the pizza taste was of nothing but extreme saltiness.
We dicided to leave and complained to the reception staff who were not at all helpful, I would have expected at least an offer of another meal or a subsitute or a refund. All we got was "I will give your feedback to the chef". If there was someone in the kitchen with any qualification they should be ashamed of calling themselves a chef.
My advice to travellers to Betws y Coed - DO NOT GO HERE
