“Nice pub, good choice (inc real ale) and good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012 via mobile

Went to betws as part of a coach party. Went here because they had real ale and food, had a nice meal (battered hand caught mackerel) and a couple of local ales.
Bonus they had the football on the telly as well.

“Cheap And cheerful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

We visited on a wet lunchtime and managed to get a table indoors. There were 3 of us and we all found something to our tastes on the menu or blackboard. The food arrived quickly and was enjoyed by all. It is quite basic so if you want haute cuisine this is not the place for you but the food is good for the price. My 85 year old mother in law really enjoyed the trout with bacon and finished off with bramley apple pie with custard which she said was excellent.

“Lovely outdoor area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Loved the outside area, it was great to meet other people whilst sharing tables. Very busy as the food was very reasonably priced. You didnt have a long wait for the food even when the pub was packed. Also seen the male choir singing here on Friday night, very unexpected but nice.

“not the best food, but great value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

The prices were very good and we had big portions! my half roast chicken was £9, but was overcooked. However it was served with gravy which made it better. Onion rings were undercooked but edible. The whole price for two people including lager for each was £21. Great place to go if you want a cheap meal.
