We stayed at betwse-y-coed and had to walk about 15 mins to the restaurant but it was well worth it. The restaurant was supposed to open at 630 but as we were early, and there was another few guests as well, they open earlier for us by 20 mins. Reading the earlier reviews, we knew the helpings were going to be big, and we were not disappointed. We had the steak and a fish wrapped in bacon, and for desserts, we had a honrycomb and ginger cheesecake.
The steak was a nice size, but to me it wad not flavourful enough. Still it was nicely done, and I enjoyed the potatoes and salad that came with it. The fish wrapped in bacon was really nice, and if I could, I would have ordered another main! But the helpings were huge and it was better to leave room for dessert. The cheesecake was nice and crumby, and a nice end to the meal.
We enjoyed the meal and highly recommended this place to anyone looking for a good sized meal, that comes with wonderful service and a old pub atmosphere. :)
