“Crouching Tiger, Disappointing Dragon”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Apart from the salt and pepper tofu, which actually came by mistake (we'd ordered the Szechuan version), the food was decidedly average. The sauce on the crispy chilli bean sprouts was too sweet and 'gloopy'. The service wasn't up to much either. There was a large group of ten or more people that seemed to take up pretty much all of the staff's attention. Understandable perhaps but not really a valid reason for just leaving us sitting there without our (ordered) drinks for at least 20 minutes. I'm generally pretty patient and easy to please but this place was a disappointment.

“Good food (great choice for veggies) but lacked atmosphere!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

Staying at the b&b next door on business, we are here twice (for ease).

There was a good choice of vegetarian options, and the food was very good.

Prices were reasonable for a sit down Chinese (rather than take away) and the portions were large.

Chinese beers were available alongside the usual Lagers, and a lovely selection of local ales (bottled) were on offer.

The restaurant is let down by the oriental music on repeat which grated a little after 30 minutes.

“Great food - worth the wait”

The food was lovely - it took quite a while to come but definitely worth the wait. Kids menu is limited but we all shared instead

“Food was mostly very good and service was excellent”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

food was generally good; duck especially. Satay lamb starter was like a processed, pre packed thing but it was the exception; avoid that you should be OK! Good value and service.
