“Great food and great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013 via mobile

The bistro is a nice cosy place with a warm atmosphere and great service. The food was outstanding, with the waitresses always polite and ready to accomodate. Their own bread was outstanding, and the little welsh cake and fudge was the perfect thing to finish the dish off. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area, but remember to book as they are busy. Will be returning the next time i visit!!!

“A Regular Haunt”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

I have been coming here since it opened a few years ago and have never been disappointed.
The main dining room has been thoughtfully designed and greatly preferable to the small annexe.
The menu is innovative with mostly a modern slant on traditional Welsh food, specials as well. On both my recent visits I had the lamb shank, served piping hot and delicious, the desserts are irresistible. The service was friendly and efficient.
It was here last year that I discovered Toffoc, Welsh toffee vodka made on Anglesey, one can buy a bottle at the adjacent store although I ordered several cases direct from the makers and it went down a storm in Putney!
This restaurant is a good example of how a well run business can succeed in a relatively quiet area.

“The best food in Betws Y Coed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

My wife and I make sure to come here whenever we are in Betws Y Coed; it really is the best food you'll find in the village. Reservations essential at the weekend, though. The menu has a range of local and welsh dishes (with a fair-sized specials board), and everything I've had has been spot on. The wine list is good, if not excellent. Service can be a little slow when it's busy.

“Great taste of Welsh Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

We visited here our first night, went somewhere else the second (just for a bit of variety) then returned here for dinner for the rest of our trip. A great restaurant, offering a lot of interesting choices for dinner, including traditional Welsh recipes. They also offered complimentary tastes of Welsh traditional food (welsh cakes, lavarbread) between courses. Also reasonably priced. Make sure you book, though, especially on the weekends.

“Lovely food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Good choice of food all well cooked, Service was a little slow, an extra member of staff would have been useful, the ladies were very busy trying their best.
