“Variable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Have been there a number of times, some days are better than others.
I have no idea why they offer mint sauce when they dont offer lamb (a suggestion for you).. They have changed their policy re roast spud, they now limit the number you can have.

Its very busy on a Sunday and they add £2 for the privelage, why I dont know..Its the same food as weekdays..

Average carvery,
No longer serve Brains beer

“Great value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

We were recommended this pub for food and it did not disappoint. There is a carvery (very generous with meat portions and quality of meat was good), superb value at £5.95 unbelievable. There is also a comprehensive menu so you can mostly please everyone.

“Well and truly stuffed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

Having spent the saturday night in Bangor then enjoying a much needed lie in, myself and my partner decided that we both fancied a sunday roast. Unsure of where to go we looked online and came across The Bull Inn. They were having their usual Sunday Carvery and at £7.95, we thought we'd give it a go. Having not reserved we were lucky to get a table,as the pub was rather full and was filling up too. It was a great atmosphere with fantastic smells wafting from the carvery. Families and friends chatting away. We queued up with our plates and saw what they had on offer; beef, pork and turkey (which we both had the beef and turkey)then a great selection of veg to choose from- roast potatoes, new potatoes, mash, sprouts, carrots, swede, broccoli and cauliflower with gravy, stuffing and yorkshire pudding accompaniments. After you had helped yourself to the veg, on the next table was a selection of different sauces. We plates pilled high we made our way back to the table. The meat was just perfect! We sat in silence to eat with only a few words to commended the food. Afterwards, plates cleared (shouldve had some bread and butter to mop it up!) We sat back and felt well and truly stuffed!
Possbily the tastiest roast I've had in a long while! We drove back home full and ready for a bit of a nap!!

“Excellent Value, Great Carvery!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

4 of us went for a Meal at the bull which is famous for its Carvery! We all opted for the Carvery which at £5.95 is a bargain...... 3 meats, 3 potatoes and 5 veg plenty of Choice! The chef Jon behind the counter was very pleasant and warming, the meal was awesome, all the staff are very welcoming and the whole place has a nice atmosphere. Overall an enjoyable experience Will be visiting again :)

“Disappointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

I have eaten at the Bull Inn about 10 times and have had lovely meals and service. On our last visit on the 6th June for my birthday there was 4 adults and 3 children. There was only one person serving at the carvery and two waiting on staff. We had to queue for the carvery for over 25 mins to be served. There were 2 staff and the manager/owner at the bar not serving drinks and when questioned by a friend if one of the staff behind the bar could help with serving food to get the queue down the manager/owner stated it wasnt his problem. Since we had already paid we waited and the food and it was dry, overcooked, dreadful. The 3 staff working in the food area did try their best however the owners response was rude and unhelpful. It spoil my birthday meal. We were all very disappointed and will not be eating here again.
