We have eaten here many times over the years, on our last visit we felt rather disappointed. The food is pricey, but this did use to reflect the gastro pub style cooking. On this occasion we ordered the fish and chips, the chips where most definitely frozen ones and came in a bowl all mushy and stuck together. The fish was undercooked and cold in the middle. The price did not reflect the quality this time. The back room that allows dogs is neglected, cold and dark, I had to find the light switch myself, and it also has uncomfortable seating. Dog owners, love them or hate them make up a large proportion of diners, and I think this area needs upgrading and possibly extending into the adjoining small more comfortable lounge. on a positive note the staff are always very welcoming the Adnams ale is superb and the views are spectacular. We will return, but not to eat.
