“Book your table now ...you won't be disappointed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

Three of us booked for an evening meal. We arrived, were shown to our table promptly and left to chose from the (not overly busy) menu and specials board. We ordered and a short while later the food arrived. Excellent food, freshly prepared in full view (so no sneaky packet opening) was served up in a reasonable amount of time. The food looked as good as it tasted, not gut busting portions but enough for anyone to leave knowing they've been well fed.
All three of us enjoyed our food immensely, couldn't fault the mains or the freshly made desserts. Service was attentive without being intrusive, prices very, very reasonable (3 adults each having two courses, drinks and coffee for £65 the lot!)
Anyone who'd argue with that needs certifying!
Not too many covers but all the better for that. We'll definitely be going again and would easily recommend the Harbourfront as a place to eat really good food (they do lunchtimes too!)

“Perfect for Lunch with Family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

Went for a bracing walk over Holyhead mountain yesterday followed by lunch in this restaurant.

Delightful service, delightful food & drinks and a stunning location. And, best of all, the price was truly good value for money.

Thank you all very much indeed. It was a wonderful day out with the family.

“A Bistro Punching Above its Weight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

Visited after reading reviews on TA but it took a little finding. Tucked away by the harbour in an isolated building shared with the Maritime Museum which appears to be an old lifeboat staion. It has an unimposing external appearance which belies the offering inside. We had a fantastic meal with timely attentive service without being overbearing. The food was cooked to perfection with a good variety of flavours and offered at a fair price.
As for critisisms they are minor but....It is often the case that higher quality food such as The Harbourfront offers is served with a diminishing quantity of vegetables. Harbourfront has fallen into this trap, but not as badly as many others. Such a shame as veg is cheap and could be corrected easily as minimal cost. Secondly the waiter (I suspect also proprietor) has a dsconcerting habit of addressing his kitchen staff (who are all male) as "ladies". Maybe they don't mind but it struck us as disrespectful.
Overall a very good meal and a recommended restaurant.

“Bistro on the Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Have eaten here on may occasions, not once had to complain about the food served, or the staff. As and when possible Andy uses local produce.
You are able to see the Chef's prepair your meal whilst you have a glass of excellent wine and take in the views of the Harbour of Refuge
