Trip Advisor gave Y Gegin Fach at Four-Mile-Bridge a good review - we wanted a good breakfast, so went along. The cafe was cosy enough, if a bit shabby. The breakfast was nice enough, with orange juice and an adequate 'full English'. We were not given the choice of brown toast, and the coffee came white when I requested black. Apart from the coffee, we didn't complain.
We were happy enough, though and settled the bill with the Lady of the house.
The older partner left first and I dallied to compliment the owner - who said something I didn't catch. On repeat I heard the accusatory words - DID YOU PAY.
In all our years of travelling, with various meals over two continents, we have never ever been accused of not paying! I left feeling a little confused - and then angry.
There are customer friendly ways of enquiring if a bill has been paid - this was an In the Face INSULT. We will not be back.
