“Views from the Bridge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

There is nothing better on a warm sunny day, than to stand on the bridge and see the sights below. On one side you have the rocks and the river, plus the steam trains and the station. On the other, the water looks more peaceful as it flows away. You could spend a good 15 minutes or so taking in the beauty of the surroundings.

“Beautiful village, well worth a look around.”

We spent a day here in may, lovely scenery and plenty of shops. I recommend spending some relaxing time on the horse.drawn barge. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

“Great Day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Truely a scenic drive coming into this small town. Lots of walking, lots to see, lots of things to take pictures of. Parking is a issue, especially on busy weekends. The views along the walk ways beside the River Dee are spectacular with lush trees, waterfront stores and restaurants, and the Llangollen Bridge. With water rushing beneath the picturesque bridge the scene is awesome. It was a busy day, fortunately, the bridge was not crowded. There was plenty of room to walk or to sit on the bridge to listen the the rushing water or to take photos. However, I can see on busy days the bridge could be very crowded. The drive out of town through the Horse Shoe Pass provided more photo opportunities. Careful of the motorcycles and cars on the narrow road, especially as the weather improves. You need to visit here. Next trip we will be eating at the Corn Mill...

“Nice view but overcrowded and traffic jams”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

The view from the bridge is very unique, overlooking the powerful river Dee and an old-fashioned steam train station. But as a pedestrian its very crowded with no where to really stop and enjoy the view unless you find a seat on the balcony of one of the couple of eating establishments which overlook it. As a car travelller the road system at the bridge makes no sense, really its in need of a traffic light system as the T-junction means you spend about 10 minutes sat there waiting to be able to turn off the bridge left or right.
