I recently stayed here with my husband to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in the dee valley suite, it was very spacious and clean and very well set out. We had our own private balcony complete with hot tub with beautiful views. We had a wonderful stay and ate at the restaurant which was five star food and service. Staff were very accommodating and very helpful and pleasant. I would recommend this to anyone that fancies a little get away. We will definitely be returning here. Well worth the money.

Thank you for your kind response,
I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay in one of our many junior suits and your meals, our chefs are constantly preparing new and interesting menus to include International as well as Traditional British/Welsh dishes. Our Chef's Bar restaurant is available all day for light meals and drinks or main courses through out the day with an indoor conservatory setting or al fresco below the Dee Valley Hills. The Yew Tree restaurant provides three course meals and a selection of fine wines.
It is a pleasure to provide a welcoming and friendly stay for all of our guests and we do hope you will return soon.
Kind Regards

Stayed at the Wild Pheasant for our anniversary over the bank holiday weekend. First time at this hotel but doubt it will be the last. Arrived late in the afternoon and was well greeted at reception to be told we had received an upgrade from the junior suite we HAD booked to one of the three penthouse suites at the hotel!! What a room, 3 rooms in the one suite, a massive bathroom with a large walk in shower, Spa/jacuzzi bath, his and hers sinks, a huge queen bed that my wife and got lost in and a lovely lounge area with separate dressing table. A fantastic room. Only complaint was the very old style tv, but we did not watch much so no great upset. Opted for a short visit to the spa before dinner and was not disappointed. An adequate steam room AND sauna room and 4 different hydro pools under the wonderful glass roof throwing in the light. Opted to eat in the hotel and had a reasonably priced 2 course meal, followed by a fresh cooked breakfast the following morning. There was a large wedding party in on the Saturday night which could suggest a wait at breakfast. How wrong we were, even after we both ordered poached eggs the wait was minimal and the breakfast fitted the bill. Not overbearing, just right!! There are areas of the hotel that do require upgrade, but i am of the understanding this is ongoing, sadly this is something that other hotels ( mostly chains) do not appreciate and just let there hotels and rooms deteriorate and then wonder why repeat trade disappears!! The restaurant and breakfast room seemed stuck in the 70`s where the "new" wing that we stayed in was the dogs nik niks!!! All in all a very pleasant stay and feel sure we will return although doubt we could afford the penthouse suite cost!! My only tip for the owners would be WiFi throughout the hotel It was only available in the reception area and not in the rooms even the penthouse suites, but this did not detract from our stay!! Thanks to the Fez and there staff!!

Dear Sir,

I am extremely pleased that you had wonderful anniversary break with us and that we were able to exceed your expectations, as mentioned by yourself we do appreciate the need to update the decor for the pleasure of guests and a need to provide a comfortable and pleasing setting and are constantly working to achieve this goal.
Wild pheasant Hotel retains the the original 19th century wings with their natural oak beams in the restaurant and charming courtyard with some antique features, which we are proud to maintain and enjoy as part of our local history. At the same time guests do enjoy our up to date Spa and Beauty facilities and lovely grounds.
Thank you for taking time out to write your great review, your comments are much appreciated and on behalf of all of the staff at " The Fez" we do look forward to receiving yourself and your wife soon.
Best Wishes.

This hotel has an enviable location in Llangollen with ample parking spaces in a town where parking is limited. The surrounding grounds are very well kept and a pleasure to stroll round. The walk from the hotel into town is along the riverside and is a delight in itself.
The hotel is now independent and the owner is clearly working on a refurbishment programme. The spa is first class with a good range of treatments. The jacuzzi pools are enclosed with huge glass windows and roof which give a lovely impression of space.
we were a party of seven and the service at dinner was first class. The menu was varied and each dish was pronounced excellent. Breakfast also was freshly cooked to your taste. A big bonus after too many hotels are offering buffet breakfasts.
The rooms were adequate with some useful accessories - an iron, ironing board, hairdryer and refreshements. The shower in the bathroom was poorly designed with little pressure but the towels were excellent.
I understand that work continues with the rooms and this will make the hotel move up a standard.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a welcoming hotel and would not hesitate to return.

Room Tip: Beware back rooms on second floor - extrator fan outside will give you an early morning wake-up call...

Dear Guest,
I am absolutely delighted that you have enjoyed your stay with us, and thank you for your kind comments about our Restaurants, Grounds and Spa. It is always encouraging to receive praise from guests who have travelled well.
Our burgeoning chefs are always on the lookout for new and exciting cuisines- like our Authentic Indian Dishes but are also well versed in traditional meals such as our popular Sunday Roasts.
In addition to the Pools our Spa offers an extensive beauty treatments range using Aromatic Decleor products. Not forgetting our very own Hair Salon, Steam Room and Sun Bed- Our Summer Sizzler offer is still available until the end of September which includes complimentary Spa Pool use.
As you have mentioned we are lucky to have unspoilt views of the Dee Valley Hills from our beautiful and peaceful grounds where guests are able to relax or simply sip a drink outside the Chef's Bar or on their balconies.
We have replaced the extractor fan in question and trying to minimise any noise disruption. We do apologise for the disturbance.
We sincerely thank you once again for posting your review and look forward to the return of your group.
On behalf of everyone at Wild Pheasant it has been a pleasure to serve.
Best Regards
