“Cosy, atmospheric hotel with great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

Our dance-exercise class held its annual Xmas dinner here - we had a wonderful meal, excellent, friendly service and a great time. Nothing too much trouble and it is a wonderful way to see a bit of the history of Conwy whilst you are here. I didn't stay but I know those who did enjoyed it.

This is a very comfortable well managed hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Quite a find. Food is excellent as the service. Corridors can be a little dark. Good outside seating area and excellent parking facilities.

Room Tip: All rooms appear good

Stayed for 2 nights on TravelZoo DBB deal.
Really good value for money in old coaching house with interesting history.
Our room at front of building overlooked the high street so it was little noisey at times. Being an old building there's no modern double glazing but really heavy curtains kept out the draft & helped cut out some of the noise & kept room cosy.
There's wi-fi throughout the hotel but in our room it was very erratic; more off than on!
The restaurant has a Shakespearian theme and the food is excellent. The atmosphere of the hotel was lovely, all decked out for Christmas. We really enjoyed our short stay.

Stayed for the second year running over night at the Castle Hotel with the Rosemary Conally group to get Christmas off to a good start. (Thank you to Freda for arranging everything x) This is a very good hotel. I was impressed with the meal last year and once again it was of a very high standard. Staff are lovely, and very pleasant. The hotel is full of character - its old! but the rooms are very comfortable. My only critisism is the lighting levels in the bedrooms - low lighting is fine, but when changing for a party you need to be able to see what you are doing!

Stopped here for an unplanned dinner after a day in the mountains. We were welcomed and given a table. I had shin beef and my partner had the on the bone chicken curry. The food and service were very good, couldn't fault it. Highly recommended.

Immaculate hotel, excellent customer service. Amazing room and the food was 1st class. Couldnt recommend it more if you are planning a trip to that side of the country. Lots to do in Conwy and the surrounding area. The hotels parking also made life easier.

Went for a family party last night.. nothing was too much trouble for the staff .. there was 30 of us of mixed ages yet we all sat and ate at the same time ,, the food was fabulous all piping hot .. and everyone cleared their plates .. compliments to the chef and to his team who all worked hard to make it enjoyable .. Thanks must also go to the bar staff and the night porter for their hard work!
The room we had was fantastic and the rest of the family were all compimentary about their rooms. Lovely thick fluffly towels!
Breakfast was another treat with superb bacon and sausages ( you could certainly tell they were not supermarket cheap ones!! would highly recommend
