The food is fantastic, and an absolute breath of fresh air in an age of plastic-cartoned meals warmed in microwaves that seem to be the norm nowadays thanks to chains such as Frankie and Bennys, Harvester, etc. All home cooked, massive portions and great value!
And like so many others have said in their own reviews, it's lovely to visit a place where you're treated as a friend and not just a customer. I would recommend a visit, alone, just to meet Ron - he is quite a character and had us in stitches all night!
A fancy restaurant, this is not - but I guarantee you will not enjoy a better evening elsewhere.
