Six of us had lunch in the restaurant for a birthday celebration and we all enjoyed it. It is in a rural spot, off the beaten track, but in lovely countryside. The restaurant itself is very attractive and beautifully maintained. When we were there it was full and it had a great atmoshere, and the owners/staff were very welcoming and helpful in an informal, unstuffy way. We basically had the set 3 course, £25 menu, although there was no problem "mixing and matching" and having items from the main menu. But what was really nice was that other additional small courses arrived, and so it felt like we had had a 6 course meal and all the food was very well cooked as you would expect. When we came to go, we realised we had been there almost 3 hours, and we really appreciated the unhurried and relaxing way the meal was served.
