“The best fish and chips we've ever had”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2012

We stopped in here last night and the last review says it all. The fish was absolutely delicious - light, crispy batter with no hint of fattiness at all. The chips were lovely and crispy. £6.10 for a large portion of chips and cod - was enough for us to share.

“Fabulous fish, fresh cooked and delicious.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2012

Absolutely top notch stuff - the fish fresh fried to order (so you need to be prepared to wait awhile). Superb light crispy batter over quality fillets. Lovely twice cooked chips (sheer ignorance, Michelle, I'm afraid - twice cooking is an absolute necessity for a quality chip), lovely tasty mushies and thick brown gravy. Having gone once at the start of our week's holiday, we just had to go back.

“Unfair comment by Michelle-Dave-SKPT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2012

We are regular visitors to this 5* chip shop. Therefore, know for sure that chips are not left to stand all day but rather fried and then fried again within no more than 15 minutes to ensure that customers are served fresh crispy chips within a few minutes of ordering. Top chefs twice fry in top resturants! A spotlessly clean chippy of a very high standard, highly recommended!

“Local Fish and Chip Shop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2012

Good it was open, Friday evening, the fish was nice but the chips were poor, cooked earlier that day and re heated. Fish and Chips twice cost just under £12. Parking in the square area near the castle was excellent, bank available in area and Fish shop was approx five mins walk away.

Good quality fish and chips, with shops in other towns in the vacinity - not the cheapest.
