“Smallest TV I've ever seen in any hotel room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

I stayed at this Travelodge for one night after a meeting. Hotel was clean and smelled fresh, the bed was comfortable and warm. Parking can only be had some way away and would be a real pain in poor weather. My only real complaint is the size of the TV it was small and I mean small!!!!

I think Travelodge have really improved over the last few years. They do exactly what they say on the tin and Ive never had a bad experience in one. This hotel is about a 10 min walk into the centre. Free car park, but not exclusive to the hotel. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room. What more do you need?

Good location, no parcing facility. Rooms are basic. Not sure if I would return. And I can't really belive that I need to write another 120 characters in order for this review to be submitted. Don't have any other opinions about the facility / service.

Great stay. Beds were comfortable, shower was great, room very clean we had a family room which was plenty big enough.
I also left my kindle behind which was very kindly returned to me by the hotel after I enquired after it. Reception very courteous.
Be aware that there is no parking. It is £5 overnight to park in the nearby council car park and so there is a bit of a trek with the cases, however this is to do with the local council and not the travelodge.

We stayed here for a few nights at Easter. Great location, very close to the Town centre. Walking distance to supermarkets and bars and restaurants. Very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Definately be coming back !

Very clean and freshly decorated but not the most comfortable Travelodge we have ever stayed in. The hotel is hemmed in by high-rise apartment blocks and has no car park, parking is in the council run car park which is a bit of a walk and costs £5 per day.

Our double room was large but most of it was empty space, the only furniture apart from the bed was a very small desk in one corner and one plastic chair, there was no wardrobe just a small rail protruding from the wall with 6 coat hangers on it plus a small shelf above. No other drawers or cupboards or even bedside tables. Lighting was dim and the high-rise apartment blocks outside made the room quite gloomy.

Bathroom was ok but no bath, just a shower. From reading other reviews I guess some of the other rooms must be rather better appointed.

We have often stayed in a Travelodge and found them to be excellent value for money but if this is going to be the new furnishing style then they are really only going to be suitable for 1-night stays in future.

Room Tip: If you particularly want a room with a bath best to ask for one when you book
