A great comfortable place to stay with a warm welcome. Bikes are kept safe overnight. Very close to the Lon Las Route 8.

Room Tip: Close to the cycle route and in the town.

We stayed at the Cartref for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding and I must say the Cartref is the best b&b I've ever stayed in.

Located within the city walls, a stones throw away from the marina, the main part of the castle and the town square it's the perfect location with free parking nearby near the yacht club (turn left at the end of the one way street). We found the B & B to be very warm and homely providing everything we needed, lots of information on hand however your best sources come in the form of your hosts Mary and Roger who bend over backwards to help you with any request you may have.

Our room (number6) was spacious and spotless with all the things you come to expect from a good B&B including slippers! Plenty of storage a very clean bathroom with a good shower and towels which along with the room was cleaned to a very high standard whilst we were there. The beds and pillows were very comfortable we had two very peaceful nights whilst there.

The breakfast is something to look forward to, you will barely even sit down before being offered fresh tea and coffee. Cereals toast and fruit are readily available and there are lots of menu choices to suit all palates, I can definitely recommend the welsh breakfast, it was made with quality fresh ingredients, they really take pride in their work at the cartref.

I must go back to the hosts Mary and Roger, they are the stars of the establishment and genuinely make you feel right at home during your stay. Roger advising on anything you need to know about in the local area over a quick chat when we'd arrived. Mary sewing my other half a button back on her wedding outfit 10 minutes before a taxi was due, as well as booking said taxi and also making sure our room was still cleaned even though we'd held them up by staying in to get ready.

The price we paid for this 2 nights stay was around £40 less than if we had stayed at the local Travel Lodge the Cartref stands head and shoulders above in every way. A lovely place to stay and a cracking introduction to welsh hospitality.

The guest house is right in the middle of the old town, very convenient for all the tourist attractions. Clean generous rooms and a great breakfast with a lit of choices.
