“In a word Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2009

The great reviews for this B&B are well and truly deserved. Just got back from an excellent weekend there. So where to start. Parking wasn't too bad, it's free parking on the street outside the B&B.The position is perfect, as for all B&B's on this street. Only a very short walk to the castle (and pubs).
We had a very nice and informative welcome. The house and decor are beautiful, the whole place has a great atmosphere. Ours was the downstairs room looking out onto the city walls, Wow what a lovely room. Spotlessly clean, quite roomy and very tastefully decorated. But it's the all the extras that make it somewhere special. Not only do you have a mini-fridge, but it is also supplied with fresh milk and a complimentary beer/wine. All you need is supplied eg:bottle opener/hair dryer etc.
The shower room is top quality too, very clean and excellent shower. The bath towels are huge and feel luxurious. Basically there is nothing cheap about this place. The bed is very comfortable and the sheets crisp and very clean.
Ok, breakfast, again top marks. The attention to detail is superb eg: toothpicks/jams etc. Food excellent, and it seems a larger choice than most B&B's. Service is great, somehow you feel you should be paying a lot more than you are for staying here.
Don't worry if the weather is bad as the rooms are so comfortable it's a pleasure to pass the time in the room. Oh yes, you have a flat screen TV and DVD player too. Only thing we had to do was turn the mini-fridge off at night as it was a little noisy (but would definately rather have the fridge than not).
Would very happily stay here again.
Excellent!
PS: Almost forgot the WiFi internet. Great!!!

This is an amazing B & B, and would be fantastic even at a much higher price. We spent two and a half weeks traveling around the UK, staying at a different B & B or hotel every night. This was one of the best overall experiences -- and that includes the 5 Star Caledonian Hilton in Edinburgh. Jan provided many of the same ammenities, and managed to do them even better. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and comfortable. The linens were crisp and luxurious. The bathrooms were large and filled with every possible ammenity from a jaccuzzi tub to a shoe shine kit and a bath rooms scale. The hospitality even included an in-room fridge with biscuits, bottled water, a pitcher of fresh orange juice, fresh milk and an assortment of teas and cocoas, a french press for coffee, and even beer. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, and Jan and her mother were incredibly kind and gracious. There honestly wasn't anything we could have wanted to improve the experience. Bravo!

A truly great B&B. Everthing you hope for is here - clean, large rooms; lovely newly refurbished bathrooms; great location near the castle, an excellent breakfast from welcoming hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. But also lots of nice touches, small fridges in the rooms with complimentary chilled drinks, decent flat panel TVs, lots of useful knick-knacks in the bathroom, nice decor and comfy beds. All this adds up to an unbeatable B&B offering great value for money. Can't think of a single criticism. Highly recommended!

Having spent many years staying in B&B's up and down the country for business use it is fair to say I have alot of experience in accomodation. On this occasion I was having a night away with my wife and both of us would not hesitate to recommend anyone this B&B, it is by far the best we have ever stayed in and represents excellent value. The room we had was one of the better equiped ones but think they are all pretty similar in style etc. The breakfast was excellent and nothing too much trouble - in a word - Fantastic.

My husband and I were amazed at the quality of this B&B. Everything the previous 9 members have posted is true. My husband's parent stayed at the same B&B a few years ago and loved it, and so did we. They stayed in the ground floor and found the B&B after they weren't happy with the one they had orginally booked. They plan to stay here again one day.

We had a bit of difficulty finding the b&b using the goodge maps we had printed out - Google is wrong. Ask for directions and it's very easy to find. It's within the city walls. Parking can be found on the street or the surrounding area - Jan can help - we called her on her mobile and she directed us around the place.

We stayed on the top floor, facing the water, room 4. The ceiling just kept going. Heaps of space. We had everything and more. Chocolate, slippers, dressing gown, cold drinks, hot drinks, extra heater, you name it. We didn't hear any street noise, people noise etc.

They are currently upgrading some of the rooms to contain spa baths !!! Although we had a large power shower and it was hot and had great pressure.

Breakfast was delicious and there was lots of it. Service couldn't be topped. For dinner, we found the new Docks establishment contains a number of restaurants. 'Table Table' had a number of specials and had a large range of food. We went there two nights in a row. But there are number of pubs, restaurants, and fast food chains etc within walking distance, depending on what you like.

We've stayed in a lot of B&B's and we have never experienced such quality. We had a lovely stay (3 nights) and wished it had been longer. Thankyou Jan & Jan's Mum, who were both so lovely.

What a treasure this wonderful B&B is. It was recommended to me by friends and I'm so glad they did. Jan takes great pride in her business and rightly so. It's spotlessly clean with lovely design touches. It really is a beautiful house. Large comfortable beds, supersoft pillows & duvets and great showers & baths. The breakfast is to die for. If you have the full version with all the trimmings, you won't need to eat until evening!

Caernarfon is a wonderful town and this B&B is a great base to explore the area. It's inside the old town walls and within walking distance of all the amenities there.

I spend most of my life living out of a suitcase and this is THE best B&B ever. Good luck to Jan, she deserves it!!

Bravo to Jan and Betty for making our short stay such a memorable one.
The room was spacious spotless superb.
Dressing gowns and slippers in the waredrobe.
Tea coffee & chocolate drinks with not only fresh milk in the fridge wine for me and beer for him it was home from home.
There wasa dvd player and on the top landing a selection of dvd's to choose from.
The bathroom had everything and more that I need not have taken a toiletry bag cause there was even a toothbrush.
The choice of menu for that all important breakfast was fabulous.
WELL DONE and Thanks
