This hotel is well located clean and tidy. It specialises in yoga and tai chi courses and if you were not expecting it the sight of people doing their exercises in the grounds first thing in the morning can be a little unsettling. I have marked it down a little as evening meals are only done to order and are vegetarian. As the restaurant is rather cosy you may feel a little self concious if everyone else is in a yoga or tai chi group. The nearest decent (but rather pricey) eating place is 5 miles down a winding road Also again the continental breakfast was meat free and not much cheese either so your breakfast might set you up for a mornings Yoga but would leave you a bit short for a walk up Snowdon. I dont have a problem with catering for yoga or Tai chi courses but I think being a vegetarian establishment should be made clear on their website as its not everyones lifestyle choice it did say continental breakfast on its website but continental breakfast usually include cold cuts of meat everywhere else I've been

In 2 days we had heavy rain, low cloud and a beautiful blue sky! So, add a stunning mountain backdrop and welcome to heaven...I mean Wales!

This lodge is simple in comfort but be under no illusion the customer care is far from simple. Peter took ever effort to make sure we were taken care of...even making sure we have breakfast for a 7am departure.

Breakfast was a real experience...continental but the amount & quality was awesome

If you are looking for a location away from the 'busy'ness of Betws Y Coed and convenient for Snowdon, then check this great little place out.

Price is good too.

Room Tip: Ring direct and ask for a deal.

This was a really clean, friendly and welcoming place, we stayed here for two nights, we were very impressed with the room, we stayed in a family room with one double bed and a single, the room was very clean and comfotable, plenty of plug sockets, good tea and coffee making facilites, fresh towels, extra blankets and a hot water bottle! The only let down for us personally was that the resort was only catering for vegeterians which we didn't know, although it was vegeterian based, the range of different cheeses, breads and tea were good. The location was great only 5 minutes drive from a Tesco and local pubs, and cafe's if you wish to go get any sort of meaty breakfast. Overall a very nice stay, and a really good hotel.

Room Tip: take something that you are able to watch films on, or something for entertainment if you dont want...

We had a family room booked for the last night of our holiday. We booked it on line and the price was ok. We were greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic guy on reception who was very helpful, although when we asked for a recommendation of somewhere to eat, his knowledge wasnt great. The room was clean and neat, the bathroom was clean and tidy and bedding and towels were clean. The room was a little too warm as they had the heating on in August!. Tea and coffee making facilities were in the room, although it was only raspberry tea!!! No TV in the room, but there was a TV "lounge" Breakfast was poor, strictly vegetarian, cheeses were promised, but only one lump was in evidence! Most of the other guests were there for the Yoga course!

We stayed here for one night - we booked 3 rooms for a large party of 8 in total. The family rooms were a very good size, bathrooms were immaculate and my children loved the hot water bottles. Reception staff are very friendly as are the ones in the dining area at breakfast. My inlaws were expecting a cooked breakfast but even with a continental you have many choices - lots of fresh fruit, bread, pastries, cereals, compotes, porridge, coffee, hot chocolate ... really good. The location is very good too. Free and very fast wireless service throughout the lodge was a welcome plus. We will certainly be back soon.

Room Tip: Get a triple or a family room - they are all very spacious.

Perfect location for climbing Snowdon. Basic, but extremely clean accomodation. Excellent breakfast of cereals, bread, fruit, cheese etc.. lots of choice and plenty of it.
Only down side, no TV's in the rooms, but there is a TV room/kitchen available which we used to have a takeaway and TV night.

We were not disappointed by our stay here. The room was always at just the right temp. which was great after a day's walk to the top of Snowdon where it was freezing. Lovely hot shower with fab power. The room was exceptionally clean too. We stayed here with our 9 yr old daughter and her bed was a "proper" bed not a put-you-up one she so often has to endure. The beds were very comfortable, clean and came with duvet and wonderful traditional Welsh blanket, just in case. Breakfast was continental with so much choice. I'd highly recommed this place for those who want to use it as a base.
