“top value and a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2010

i always head for the shoreline when i visit aberystwyth and ive been staying at this guesthouse for the last 10 years, never seen the point in trying to go elsewhere. it has a great location overlooking the peaceful southshore, with the guesthouse right on the front next to the beach. they always manage to get me a room usually one of the nice single rooms with a seaview, even if i ring at short notice.

the price is excellent, the rooms bright and comfortable and the breakfasts good even for veggies like me. the owners are very welcoming and friendly. i like the shoreline as i can just get on with enjoying my break.

id recommend it to anyone especially due to the very competitive price and frankly outstanding location next to a beach and the castle, in a nice quiet location but still close to the shops and bars etc.

We stayed for less than a week in Aberystwyth and could enjoy it especially because of this very nice B&B. Everytime we were warmly welcomed and got a smile from the family. Our room had a beautiful sea-view and was cleaned every day. The breakfast was traditional english but also added by fruits, joghurt and cereals. It gave us enough energy to do long hikes around the city:) Furthermore the owners were all the time ready to have a talk with us even if our English was not the best;)
Thanks for the great time.....

Stayed for one night with my son who had been vsiting the university. This guesthouse is clean & cosy. Lovely room, sea view. Very comfy beds. En suite bathroom, small but perfectly servicable. Excellent breakfast. Lovely staff, there if you want anything, happy to leave you alone otherwise. Great location on the sea front. Imagine location means it may be a bit noisy in holiday season.Would stay again.

This hotel is perfect for mine and my children's needs.
I have stayed here for the last 9 years, 3-4 times a year as my family live in Aberystwyth.
The staff are so friendly and helpful and my children love how close it is to the beach, and having the castle and park a 5 minute walk away is perfect for them.
I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Aberystwyth and also have children, having taken my son there when he was only 6 weeks old and now he 9 it is perfect for all ages of children which is great.
I am booked to return in April and can't wait!!!!!!!
Thank you to all the staff who make our stay afb every time xxxx

From the first moment we knocked on the door and was greeted by Lenny it was like we were staying with an old friend. We were given the key to our room which had the most fantastic sea views and its own wash basin and TV, my partner had never been to Aberystwyth so it was great that he got to wake up in the morning not only with the sea lapping over in the distance but with the luscious smell of a cooked breakfast on it's way.

We went down to breakfast each morning and was greeted by one of Lenny's sons who is one of the best hosts in Aber, nothing was too much trouble and we could have what ever we wanted from a great choice to start our day off i especially enjoyed the Rachel's Organic Yogurts and have since found them in my home town to eat each morning to my delight.

With only being a short walk away from the town centre it was perfect for us to nip into town at night and when it was time to come home you can not miss the bright blue building guiding you in to a warm cosy bed, knowing that your breakfast will be waiting for you in the morning.

There was a great selection of DVD’s all free to watch on the TV’s in your rooms and a shared shower space, you feel like your staying at an old friends and I cant wait to return.

Thanks so much to you Lenny and your boys, hope to see you again soon..!
