Although Indian food in UK is quite popular and there are many good Indian restaurants around this country, but this could not be applied for a rural city such as Aberystwyth. If you know this city well enough, you will understand that this "nothing-much-to-talk-about" restaurant is relatively good in this city. As I studied there for a year, it simply holds the first or second rank in term of Indian food in this city.
Their Tandoori dishes should be something you could look forward to the most, although not too much. But for the curry, nothing much to be found here. All the same curry base has been used and just adjusting the taste a bit more, for curry lover I may recommend the restaurant "Agra" more (although it also not 'above average' but for my personel taste I like its curry more than Light of Asia), however for Tandoori dises and other "non-curry" ones, I think Light of Asia got a slight win over Agra. The price is quite reasonable and the service is acceptable.
To conclude, if you are not really hunger for Indian food, I'd rather recommend you to tolerate and leave your hunger for some other town, but if you have to have it no matter what, this is a place that worth a tour.
