Visited for the first time with a friend on a Friday evening. We had booked a table for 7.30pm, and it was pretty quiet when we arrived at 7.15. Had a nice glass of New Zealand Sauvignon at the bar, before being seated at our table.
Shared the Charcuterie meat board for starter, nice and plentiful. Came with breads and a nice onion marmalade. Also shared the main - pork belly, which came with black pudding, potatoes, cabbage and purple sprouting broccoli. Absolutely huge piece of pork belly for us to share, and was brought to the table for us to carve ourselves. Lovely! Even though we were both pretty full by this time, just about managed (!) to eat the sharing dessert, which was a mini selection of all the desserts they do.
Three courses for two, plus two glasses of wine and a bottle of Sauvignon, came to £80. we thought very reasonably priced, considering how much we had both eaten! Service efficient and polite throughout.
The only slight negative was the decor, which was not to my liking - but this is of course down to personal taste and opinion! Fantastically comfy chairs though - and alongside the food and wine, perhaps explains how we managed to spend almost three hours here!
Would definitely visit again!
