Great place to walk and see take in the panoramic views, particularly the church, manmade river & lake etc. created by ‘Capability’ Brown. Interesting history of the house & gardens in display in the house .Tapestry Tea room is advertised as being something a little bit special! My wife & I had some nice quality sandwiches there and filter coffees ,but the experience was let down by my cream tea ,the scone was large & homemade ,but lacked sweetness, was served with a small sachet of butter & meagre /small pot of well known, brand strawberry jam. Accompanied by an even meagre dollop of clotted cream, one of the smallest portions of cream I have ever seen.!
