Owner description: This beautiful 16th century building in the heart of historic Friar Street is run as a museum by volunteers. Displays focus on the house's past, as a home to Tudor weavers through to its use as an ARP Warden's office in WW2, and a school clinic thereafter. A cafe serves tea, coffee and wrapped cakes on vintage bone china. There is a Tudor Rat trail for children. Open Wednesday and Saturday 10-4, and Thursdays in the summer.

“A self-effacing gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2015

Visited Tudor House on the last day of a five-day stay in Worcester having an unexpected hour or so to spare. It had not been on the top of our visit list as, from the outside it looks a bit like 'ye olde worlde tea shop'. However, I am so glad we did! As others have said, the building is a bit like a tardis: there is so much to see when you are inside and the volunteers who run it are very knowledgeable and helpful. It was clearly a labour of love putting together all the various displays reflecting the past use of the buildings and local life and industry. Tea in the tea room at the front in proper china cups accompanied by a gentleman playing the lute was a great finishing touch.

“Worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2015

A hidden gem in the middle of Worcester.
A lovely small museum which is free to enter. Full of history and nice to pop in to whilst we were in the town centre.
It had a lovely little cafe/coffee shop attached too.

“Fascinating History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2015

Free entry is always a good enticement to enter! The Tudor House is staffed by volunteers but a small donation helps preserve this historic location. Three separate houses were linked together and there are interesting displays about it's history and also about Worcester. Well worth a visit and easy to find near the town center.

“A hidden gem run by knowledgable volunteers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2015

Tudor House is a fascinating place to see and learn about the history of Worcester. It also has a marvellous tea room with excellent traditional English food and drinks on offer at very reasonable prices. Not to be missed!
