“Bird Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

It was very relaxing to be able to indulge in an early morning cup of tea in bed while enjoying the pretty garden and the antics of the various garden birds just outside the window as they enjoyed the 5 star breakfast provided for them!

The humans fared well too! No complaints about this B & B: good and plentiful food, well prepared; comfortable and clean rooms; attentive and friendly hosts who clearly wanted to provide a good service. Overall a quiet and convenient place from which to explore the local area. Good value for money.

Martyn & Caroline were very hospitable in every aspect.
The food was superb & in abundance.
Our room was really nice & with a good sized bathroom. We could have done with more clear surface areas for our books, maps, papers etc., & the shower was a bit feeble.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience & good value for money.

What a wonderful place. A friend and I stayed overnight (with our two dogs) on our way to and from Cornwall. The service was faultless, our rooms had superb home made cake ready and waiting and even the dogs were catered for with treats, drinking water and towels. We were advised on where best go for an evening meal and where to walk the dogs (doggy bags provided). The breakfasts were huge with a choice of cereals, followed by full English - veggie and non-veggie - and a plentiful choice of fruit. Martyn and Caroline sent us on our way with more fruit and bottled water. Easy to find from the M5 and so peaceful to just sit and watch the birds. I would definitely go back,

Room Tip: The garden room is like being in another world - peaceful, quiet with birds and squirrels for entert...

Delightful, quiet place to stay with easy access from the motorway and Worcester. Room was comfortable with pretty outlook onto courtyard garden. So relaxing to have a cup of tea and home-made cake in the room watching birds coming to the bird feeder. The house is in a wonderfully quiet rural area. Martyn directed me on a lovely circular walk along the canal to an old mill. Cooked breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with good coffee and fresh fruit. Just what I needed with a long day ahead.

Room Tip: ground floor garden room has a delightful private garden with outside table and chairs

Set in a delightful rural location, Buttermilk epitomizes everything that's good about British hospitality. Caroline and Martyn are wonderful hosts with a "nothing is too much" attitude that is sadly lacking in many places these days. The room was beautifully decorated with everything you could want (including a beautiful slice of home made cake).
Breakfast was a food lovers dream, again with enough choices to satisfy anyone. Beautifully cooked, beautifully presented and the sausages...don't get me started!
Would not hesitate to recommend Buttermilk to anyone...

We stayed for two nights at this excellent B&B. The welcome was warm and both Caroline and Martyn were incredibly friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and offered everything you could wish for (good quality tea, coffee, fresh milk). Caroline even made a delicious chocolate cake which was waiting for us in our room when we arrived. The breakfast was delicious and plenty with a variety of fresh fruits, cereals, croissants to chose from as well as a tasty cooked breakfast. From the breakfast room you have the chance to watch birds feeding which was a very relaxing way of starting your day. All in all I would highly recommend this place and hope to be back soon.
