“Lovely hotel at reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

We just stopped off here for one night, breaking a long journey. Double room was clean and bathroom looked and felt clean and modern.
Staff in the hotel and pub downstairs were much better than average for Wetherspoons.
Views from the patio area at the rear were really scenic, and the pub area was very smart.
Food was also above the Wetherspoons average, not that the average is at all bad.
Would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting good clean accommodation, at a reasonable cost - and also the bonus of reasonably priced drinks in the bar.

Room Tip: Double rooms on the front can be noisy from the traffic. I think the family rooms are at the rear, a...

We stopped overnight after a local Hop Walk. It was a very warm day . The only thing wrong was that the saving light in the bathroom did not work . We had breakfast on the high terrace in the sunshine the next morning . It was a pity they has no brown toast ! It is 2013 for Chri*** sake. The view in the terrace is spectacular .
They provided a large free standing fan due to the High temperature as there is no A/C in the rooms. Room
Was quiet until around 5.3

We stayed as a group of six for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The rooms are clean and comfortable albeit ours was by the extraction vent which started at 6am!!! The food was great and our steaks were some of the best we have had. The staff were excellent both very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend it and Malvern was a lovely town to visit.

As a family party of 7, we decided to eat at the Wetherspoons owned Foley Arms Hotel in Malvern, our last visit being good...sadly not this time!
We could only assume they were short staffed in the kitchen, for the catalogue of errors in our meals. A "medium" stake came "rare" (not the end of the world), a large portion of onion rings listed as 12, only 10 arrived (possibly enjoyed en-route from fryer to table ?), worst of all and after reminding staff more than once (in addition to the "missing" onion rings) no gravy with a Sunday Roast, only for 3 to arrive just as the meal was being finished...but still NO onion rings!!
It seems in the town centre their is little competition at this price point, maybe this explains such haphazard and poor service.
Cheap and cheerful is fine as a concept, but things need to turn up as requested, described or as advertised, not undercooked/in stages or not at all! It rather spoilt what should have been a nice family get together and meal out on a lovely sunny Sunday.

Stayed one night while on business in the area. Very comfy room with bath that had choice of bright light - great for reading in the bath. Bed excellent. Evening meal great value with helpful staff who checked I was OK on 2 occasions - and what a view from the bar-and outside eating area. If warm enough it's great out here.

We stayed in Room 20 at this hotel for one night. It was surprisingly spacious and had all the amenities you could wish for including and Iron, Ironing Board, Hair Dryer, complimentary biscuits and a Kettle, it even had 'Pick TV' which showed Premier League football in our room.

Our room was at the front of the hotel which means we didn't get to enjoy the fantastic view at the back but was well worth the price we paid for the night anyway.

The pub downstairs isn't the best, generic Wetherspoons inside (although an amazing outside terrace) and in clientele, but would definitely recommend the hotel.
