“WOW!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We went for valentines day and again since...what can I say amazing food and fantastic staff.
There is a lovely cocktail bar if you fancy a drink before your meal and a very sumptuous lounge with open fire to take your coffee. Fantastic we will be back.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch for 40 people and were extremely well looked after here after my father's funeral. The hotel has been beautifully and tastefully refurbished in recent years with a stunning bar as well as the more traditional décor of lounge and dining room. We would highly recommend - I challenge anyone to find a more stylish and welcoming place in Malvern!

What a lovely hotel to stay at on business. Owners and staff always extremely friendly and attentive. Rooms lovely and very homely, leading to a really great night's sleep. A perfectly cooked breakfast in the morning sets me up for the day. I always enjoy my visits.

We stayed here last month for a friend’s birthday party and had a wonderful time. The celebration dinner in the hotel’s restaurant was superb, the dining room had been beautifully laid out for the occasion.
Our boutique bedroom was prettily decorated, the bed very comfortable and there were plenty of nice soft towels. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the owners Barbara and Chris they were highly attentive throughout our stay even though the hotel and restaurant was full. We will certainly stay here again.

Really nice old style Hotel, great value for money, very comfortable room The only thing that let it down was the water was only tepid at 8.30am
They have some superior rooms which are well worth paying the extra
The restaurant has a very good reputation and does get booked up at the weekend
Breakfast was first first class, perfectly cooked and presented

we only went there for the meal so can not comment on the hotel we went as a table of 18 for mothers day evening meal 3 courses £25 which all sounded good allthough i dont think £25
was bad value the food was not great no problem with the soup starter but the main course roast beef was luke warm at best and not enough of it but in all fairness we were a big party to cater for i guess iam just a little disapointed after the big build up from friends with what i received on the night also drinks are expensive almost £5 for a pint of shandy i must also say that the lounge and bar area were very nice in fact i left feeling a little embarased after the noise level that was created by us. if i was paying to stay in this hotel i would not of been happy

What a shame you felt un-spoilt. Mothers day as every other day should be a stand out-day ! However, as you were a larger party, we did give you a good discount and so feel the price was fair. Of the other Mothers day guests, we only had wonderful comments so obviously we were dissapointed hear that you felt things weren't perfect. I'm afraid we are not able to compete price-wise with all the other local chinese/Indian restaurants you have reviewed on this site and feel we cannot be drawn into offering highly discounted packages in order to fill our restaurant. Hopefully you'll give us another chance to show you what we're about.
kind regards
Chris and Barbara

Nice little b&b just outside Malvern town centre - not a chain hotel and does suffer - thin walls and noisy at times but nice friendly local run atmosphere, food is good although the restaurant is only open ONE hour at night?????????
Woudl recommend but check it out first - really not for everyone, certainly not on business!

Wow, what a way to start the week. Thank you for your comments, however, we are a hotel and very proud of it, as can be verified by the AA inspectorate and Michelin and open 24/7. The hotel is over 150 years old and we have done everything possible to accomodate any issues that might arise such as noise in our refurb and have applied sound proofing where possible and practicle. As for the food operation, we serve an extensive bar/room service menu from 10 am to 9 pm and we serve the full restaurant menu from 6pm until 8.30 in the restaurant and in its entirety as an additional room service facility during the same hours. I'm sorry if you feel let down , perhaps you were mis-informed as to what we can offer you. As for not being suitable for business users, its a shame you see us that way as we strive to look after that segment of our business and will/do offer every comfort possible after a long/hard days work.
I hope this helps answer your points and hope you will give us the oportunity to show you what we do best another day.
kind regards
Chris and Barbara
