What can I say...I went to the Cotswold to attend a Vintage Fair held in Toddington...I stayed in the Lygon Arms the last time, but this time I wanted a base to wander the countryside from. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels so my idea of luxury is exacting. To my mind this gem of a
B & B was 5 star luxurious heaven. Jenni has obviously thought long and hard about the comfort of her guests and has managed to pack her home with all the luxuries you would associate with a 5 star hotel. Like Goldilocks who has tried all the other beds this was just right...from the softness of the pillows and beautiful scented cotton bedding, to the locally sourced food and complimentary wine, beer, Baileys and chocolates, right down to the White Company bathroom goody's and heavy white fluffy towels. All of this and the warmest of welcomes from Jenni who was attentive and friendly...nothing was to much trouble and Pam who helped serve the scrumptious breakfast was a mine of information...and so kind...it all made me want to stay longer and longer. I would definitely recommend the Old Station House to anyone who wants to stay in the area for whatever reason, whether that be walking, sightseeing or a romantic getaway. Will I return to this heaven that's a resounding yes from me!
