The TravelLodge in windsor is right in the heart of the town, it's on the edge of the shops and the start of the nightlife & restaurants.
There's a bar/restaurant (for snacks)
I've stayed here on a few occasions and I find it great. The rooms do vary greatly in size and shape, but personally I've never had an issue. There's a late check out 12, which is also handy.
The only downside is that some rooms are quite noisey due to its location; some over look a main road, some overlook a night club, but depending on what you're here for it shouldn't bother you.
It's not badly priced for where it is depending on when you book

Took Hubby away for a sneaky night away , having visited in the summer and being impressed with the local little pub the Watermans Arms in Eton and the whole area, I decided that we must visit again to do the last bit of Christmas shopping and grab a bit of time for us !
We got a family room a big bonus as it had a bath, the bed was so comfy as they generally are in all of the Travelodges we have stayed in.
The Hotel is right in the centre of the shopping centre ideally placed next to Waitrose and Costa coffee.....so croissants and coffee on the cheap instead of the limited breakfast on offer usually, however this T/L has a great little Cafe area if you like that sort of thing, myself I prefer breakfast in bed.
Very affordable, book in advance and catch the train in if you want to avoid parking charges.

Room Tip: Ask to be away from the nightclub side if you want a good nights rest, they moved us without asking...

Room was clean. Small for three but fine.

Woken up at 3 then 4am by other guests running along corridor in and put of rooms. Bathroom started smelling of cigarette smoke through fan also so had to tell the people in corridor to stop.

No phone in room to reception to get help which leaves you isolated as a guest. Concerning of you had kids with you.

Also lots of noise from street outside in middle of night which I guess can't be helped. Nightclubs close by.

Definitely go here if you are looking for a central location in windsor it's perfect but if you are here for a rest and a lie in don't bother.

Room was shabby and dated. Sockets didn't work, room booked for 3 people, we were catered for 2, with a two single beds and a sofa.
Ensuite badly needed updating, and wasn't very clean.
Very noisy in the early hours due to night clubs closing

Room Tip: Rooms away from the main road are best, no night club drunks shouting and singing at 3am!

The hotel is centrally located and clean. The lobby area had appropriate facilities and the staff are friendly. However, the location is also the main problem with this hotel,,,,,we had an extremely poor night's sleep due to the excessive noise that came from people leaving the nearby night clubs. The shouting and screaming started at about 1 and carried on until half past 4 in the morning. It really was awful and was so loud it sounded as though they were in the room next door! It is disappointing that we were not informed that our room would/could be affected by noise before we booked it. Had this been the case, we could have either chosen to risk it and take the consequences or stay in another hotel. My family and I woke up exhausted in the morning, having had about 4 hours broken sleep.

I realise the hotel is not responsible for the behaviour of others. However, a hotel is responsible for providing somewhere comfortable to have a good night's sleep and this Travel Lodge did not do that on this occasion. We were provided with a voucher to use in another Travel Lodge and I appreciated this gesture from the member of staff on reception. I imagine the noise would not be so problematic during the week.

When you book a Travelodge, you sort of know what to expect, so I wasn't surprised or disappointed.

The room was clean and tidy with the odd paint job required, so perhaps a tad faded but certainly acceptable & functional. That said, there wasn't a bathmat and the light above the mirror wasn't working.

However what a perfectly placed location to stay, and so reasonable I'm almost tempted to say inexpensive.

You can be unlucky and get not only aircraft sounds (especially if you have your window open) or noise from party revelers. I slept like a log. If you get on the upper floors or on a particular side of the building, this isn't a major problem.

It is really convenient for the train station or Heathrow. I flew, so can't comment on the cost of the parking facilities (which was right next to the hotel).

Windsor is lovely and I'd stay here again to explore & eat more.

Breakfast was indifferent at best, convenient maybe but I'd choose to eat out, as there appears to be a good selection close by. No hot chocolate for non tea/coffee drinkers.

You get what you pay for sometimes.

Room Tip: Highest floor recommended & ask for a room away from the side with the revelers.

Bang in the centre of beautiful Windsor surrounded by cafes, shops and restaurants. Comfortable rooms and good standard for the price. Appreciated both the bath and the kettle, tea and coffee in room. Great value for money! Would return! Wouldn't recommend eating breakfast there though. There are lovely cafes just a stones throw from entrance.
