“Nice location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2009

Stayed only one night. Excellent base for downtown and Windsor Castle. Nice comfortable room with ensuite bath. Some off-street parking in a cramped lot at rear of the B&B. Hosts very helpful in pointing out things to do and places to eat around townt. Very pleasant town with lots of friendly and helpful folks. Breakfast wasn't that exciting.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2009

The Alma Lodge was our base for four nights in the first week of August, for what was a trip to Legoland for the young 'un! We arrived around 1pm after driving from Stansted round the M25 - actually it was not too bad!

The room was in the basement which has been recently refurbished with a sink, cupboards, utensils etc if you want to store your own food. We had a double bed, a single bed, TV, kettle although the bathroom was a bit small. All very comfortable though and plenty of storage space for clothes and shoes.

Breakfast included fruit, cereal and a selection of toast plus a full English. The owner's father in law loves to chat and he was quite enjoying chatting to the guests (only three tables in the breakfast room) and finding out where everyone was from.

Would recommend this as a base for Legoland, it's minutes away. Plus it's a short walk into the centre of Windsor.

Great location within a few minutes walk of Windsor Castle and Prescod Street. Very attentive and friendly owners. Stayed in a ground floor room with French doors to the garden. Room was very clean and had a small fridge. Would certainly stay again during a future trip to Windsor.

Our room was a triple room, small but clean and very newly refurbished. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. The price is very reasonable.

I stayed in a single room in the new;y refurbished ground floor flats. The room was perfect for my needs and everything (including the bathroom) was new.

The staff were really helpful and the room price was reasonable. The best aspect is the parking as it will cost £10 per day to park elsewhere so that in itself is a bargain. They provide you with breakfast in the morning which was good and they were flexible about check out times so overall a very good BnB.

I would stay there again. My only moan was that the matress was too hard but you can't have everything.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was an ensuite, small but clean and newly refurbished. There is a small space for off street parking, but call ahead to make sure they have room. This place was fine for a one night stay for myself and my husband. The Thai Square restaurant by the castle was excellent.
