We stayed here to go to the Olympic rowing at Eton Dornay. It was so convenient, a 10 minute walk to Windsor Racecourse and a further 15 minutes from there to Eton Dornay. Car parking is free which was a huge bonus. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is shared but this was no problem, there is a basin in the room also. Excellent continental breakfast arranged to suit our preferred time. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and very helpful with directions, taxi numbers etc.

My room at The Swan was quite small, even for one person, and we were two. Still, I have no hesitation recommending The Swan as a good place for a short stay while exploring Windsor and Eton. I spent considerable time downstairs in the pub watching TV, petting the dogs Lucy and Molly, and chatting with the proprietor Richard. Richard was extremely helpful with his recommendations and did several things to make my visit pleasant. Food in the pub is limited but serves for lunch or when you're hungry.

This is friendly traditional B&B in a pleasant and convenient location (great for Windsor racecourse) .It’s attached to a pub and they do what they do well. The room was spacious and clean, tea making facilities, great continental breakfast, free parking! Shared bathroom (between 4 rooms). This isn’t 5 star, but c’mon £45 (single occupancy) in Windsor including parking is an absolute bargainl!!! (even the local Travelodge was quoted at over £100 for the night I stayed).

Keep clear of this one unless you are desperate.A shabby little side street pub,no ensuite, bathroom and loo along corridoor and up a flight of stairs lock on bedroom door not working My stay lasted one and ahalf hours which included driving around to find somewhere else to stay which i did in the Clarence Hotel which was excellent, and only a few pounds more than The Swan.

Room Tip: Dont use The Swan

Richard was a good host, but the property is very tired. The rooms were a decent value, but having one bathroom for 4 or 5 guest rooms is unacceptable. This is the right place only if you are looking for a cheap place to stay that is a 15-minute walk from the train station, the castle, and an evening meal.

Room Tip: Stay away from the street.

Interesting one here. as another review, I didn't spot no en-suite when booked so did feel a little strange although no issues getting into the shared bathroom. Only comment is the shower could do with a bit of attention/retile.
Very friendly landlord & room clean & comfortable so for a budget stay & pretty central location plus a pub at your feet then worth a look if you are happy with no ensuite.
