Beautiful hotel and beautiful grounds. Myself and partner wee invited along as part of family 60th birthday party/celebration. The service cannotbe faulted by any of the staff. In fact I would say it was exceptional. We had a large room overlooking the river with a massive king size bed.
This place hasa fascinating history as a lot ofthe Hammer horror films were filmed here, as were the St Trinians and others. The only down side was the bar prices for the cocktails. £9 for a small cocktail. The kitchen staff very kindly produced a vega mal for me (it had been asked for in advance). Unfortunaately, my meal was abit of a let down. The onion soup was the consistency of baby food and didnt really taste of onion. The main course was a mushroom risotto which was so bland. It had no flavour at all. The pudding was the best, a plate offruit, very decoratively presented. There was nothing really for a vegan to eat from the bar menu either. But I did have a bowl of lovely three times cooked chips.
At breakfast the next day, again, the kitchen staff were most accommodating in coking some of my vegan bacon for me. All in all, a very good experience in a beautiful setting in a ple with charachter. I felt they could have made more of their filmic past. Perhaps a few photos around of scenes from the films at the place where the scene took place. ould we go again? Probably not. But nonetheless, an interesting experience.

My sister, 7 year old niece and I spent 2 days in a suite overlooking the Thames. The grounds of this hotel and the experience of being able to wander along the banks of the Thames on a sunny day were beautiful. The gothic looking hotel, with it's nooks and crannies really is like a film set. The staff were not only friendly and helpful, but able to tell us about the history of the hotel. Food was wonderful. The big hit with my niece was the pool. So much so, we never made it to Windsor the second day. The perfect place to go to unwind and have a bit of a pamper in lovely surroundings.

Room Tip: The West Wing is nearest to the river bank, and you have more chance of getting a river view if you...

My partner and I recently stayed here for 2 nights on a Superbreak deal and we could not have been more impressed.

The hotel is stunning and the grounds are lovely to go for a stroll around.

We stayed in a superior room and it was a great size with a very comfy bed and a lovely view of the garden.

The staff cannot do enough to assist you, even carrying my bag to the room which i always think is a nice touch.

We had dinner included in our deal and all 3 courses of it were delicious. I would have even paid the full price for it :-)

I would definetely recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere a bit special.

Top Tip: Have a look on Superbreak for a 2 night dinner deal! Bargain!

M y husband and I have just spent a wonderful stay at this hotel, the hotel is amazing, warm, welcoming, cosy and delightful, all the staff are friendly, the food was fantastic, our bedroom was large, clean and the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up this morning. We used the spa yesterday, so relaxing. We will be going back in the summer, to sit by the river Thames with a drink or two will be heaven. Beautiful hotel.

My wife and I are on the last night of a three day stay in this beautiful hotel, it's been a wonderfull experience the hotel is so charming the staff are very friendly and helpfull, breakfast is lovely free wi fi great gym and pool. Bar meal last night was very tasty and with a bottle of wine very reasonably priced. Our room is first class having stayed in lots of hotels this rates up there with the best. We have family in the area and will stay here in the future.

Been to the hotel many times but never stayed before. We booked into a Suite with a river view & definitely got the 'WOW' factor. Lovely room, lovely view - heaven. We met old friends in the bar for pre-dinner drinks and time just flew by. The service was excellent & we were not pressurised into going into dinner even though we were running late. The service in the restaurant & the food was also excellent & after a late night walk around the grounds, which are something special, we retired to our amazing room. We've stayed in many hotels in the Windsor/Slough area in the pasdt but will certainly come back here.

Room Tip: I would always request a River View Room.
