“Can't wait to return to Sunny Cottage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

Sunny Cottage is a real gem. Vreny is a caring and professional business owner who goes the extra mile to make sure her guests have a wonderful visit. Location is ideal... a 15 minute walk to the Maidenhead train station where one can take a train to London and be there in 25 minutes. Close to Eton-Dorney, Windsor and other charming towns. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed our stay, the room was lovely, welcome was warm and the breakfast was absolutely amazing! It's a lovely B&B with an equally lovely hostess and we would certainly come back if in the area. Thank you!

Excellent B & B I would recommend anyone in the area to stay here. Welcoming & relaxing with the offer of tea & biscuits on arrival. Absolutely delicious breakfast! I especially loved the yogurt & fresh fruit & a good hot cooked breakfast. The rooms are very clean & comfortable with free WiFi too. We had a lovely view of the pretty garden.

I can't recommend this B&B highly enough. Vreny is a superlative hostess, your friend away from home -- warm and welcoming, utterly helpful and attentive without being smothering. The setting is peaceful and idyllic, yet within walking distance of the train station which is a 20-minute ride from London. I was so sad to leave, and would return in a heartbeat. Stay at Sunny Cottage; you won't be disappointed!

Stayed over while visiting Royal Windsor Show. Wonderful warm welcome from Vreny, even though we were a little muddy from the showground! nothing too much trouble for her. Our room and bathroom were immaculate and beautifully furnished. Breakfast next morning was fantastic and set us up for the next day at the show. We drove to Windsor for an evening out which is very close and accessible took about 10 mins.
Overall a fantastic place to stay, nicer accommodation and breakfast than the Hotel we stayed at in Windsor last year and at half the price.

Sunny Cottage was a good place to head to after a big meal at the Fat Duck.

It was a little hard to find, but Vreny is lovely. She insists on making you a hot drink when you arrive, complete with a chocolate nibble.

The room is nice and clean with a good shower/ toilet attached. For those on a romantic weekend break, the bed is a bit on the squeaky side, but it was comfortable and a nice size.

I loved the breakfast. The muesli was actually really great. There was a big ‘help yourself’ bowl of it along with fruit, cereal, yoghurts AND your choice of breakfast. My husband had the cooked breakfast and I had porridge. It was good, but I should have just skipped it and stayed with the muesli!

The house has a picturesque garden which is regularly frequented by local deer. I was sad to say that I was not lucky enough to get to watch them eating the flowers.

Sunny Cottage is within walking distance of the cinema, bars and Maidenhead station, and definitely recommended.
