“A lovely comfortable Break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

This is a delightful hotel. We were going to a wedding nearby, visiting family and friends and spending a day in London. This was an ideal place to base ourselves. We had been upgraded to a suite which had a separate lounge/kitchen area and lots of room. Everything was very clean and well equipped. The dining room was neat and well set out and the breakfasts were typically English and delicious. We didn't have an evening meal there. As the weather was beautiful I sat in the neat garden for some well needed sun. It is an easy walk into the town and to the railway and taxis come by frequently if needed. Staff were very pleasant and courteous and the hotel is very well run. Definately worth a visit.m

Stayed for one night. Room was large and comfortable. Decor is a bit outdated, but that's minor criticism. Breakfast was good. Slight problem with the shower as it was a very hot day and we couldnt get the temperature low enough. Would stay again if we were in the area.

Stayed three nights here in a suite which is a quarter of the floor of one of several houses that form the hotel complex. Very convenient to walk into Maidenhead with plenty of parking.
Just had breakfasts - standard English with only a bit of fruit but good.
Hotels are best sorted by BBBS - bed, breakfast, bathroom and space. The best could have been a bit bigger but everything else is superb and well thought our.
Beware the local church clock though - it strikes every hour with the number - not much the hotel could do but maybe for some earplugs may help.
This is an excellent hotel - worthily no 1 locally.

My husband and i stayed only overnight and didn't want to spend big bucks, having checked other peoples reviews on the Walton Cottage Hotel i booked us there for the night. I was very pleasantly surprised on arrival at what a well presented, clean and welcoming place it is. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We didn't get a chance to try out the bar or restaurant but had a smashing breakfast in the morning. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definately stay there again when next in the area.

This hotel was exceptionally clean in every area, the room being very spacious and comfortable. It is obviously a well run hotel with very friendly staff. The complimentary breakfast is also worth a special mention with choices including a Full English. The location is excellent, being only a short walk from Maidenhead centre and a short journey to Windsor and surrounding areas.

Having stayed in many hotels throughout Europe I can honestly say that the Walton cottage is as clean as many that cost three or four times as much. The staff were all very helpful and friendly
and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were in a party of 13 and occupied 5 rooms and none of us was anything but pleased with our choice. My wife and I will most definitely stay here again should we be in the area as it is so central for the many local attractions.
Highly recommended.

I found the Walton Cottage to be an excellent hotel with large spacious and well equipped rooms. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful with recommendations on local places of interest to visit. The breakfast was first class with a great choice which was freshly cooked to order. I would definitly look to stay there again if I am visiting the area.
