My wife and I went here on a Thursday evening, I did book a table on the pub staff recommendation on the phone the day before and it was probably a good idea as most tables were occupied all of the time we were there. There seemed to be many locals in at the bar and the atmosphere is good with a warm ambiance, there are fairy lights but in a good way, it would be very cosy pub on a cold winter evening. I started with a pint of Arkels ale and it was in good condition. The food was good with good portion sizes. My wife did actually have a problem with the skate wing that she ordered but this was handled without fuss, a replacement was provided and a more than generous adjustment was made to the bill. The wine list was short and all on the affordable side but the two types we had by the glass were both very nice. The staff were friendly and the service very good. I would certainly recommend and would go back......even if the publican is a Chelsea FC fan :-)
