“lovely B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

My boyfriend and I stayed at St Ann's House in Salisbury as we were visiting Longleat Safari park the next day. We were pleasantly surprised with the service from Michael. He was very friendly and gave us lots of helpful information about what to see and do in the City. The B&B itself was centrally located (within walking distance to pubs, restaurants, shops and the Cathedral). The room was lovely, it was very clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The room included a kettle and free tea and coffee and a television. The continental breakfast (included in the price) was great; there was lots of fresh fruit, cereals, banana bread and croissants. You can also opt for a cooked breakfast for an additional price which we didn't have but it smelt and looked delicious.

Overall, we would definitely recommend this B&B for anybody wanting to stay in Salisbury - for anybody visiting Longleat it took us about half an hour in the car from Salisbury so it's an ideal location. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back!

Thank you!

Katie & Chris

My partner & I booked St Ann's House for just one night when we planned a quick visit to Salisbury, mostly to see Stonehenge. Michael, the innkeeper, was terrific and very helpful with our various logistical issues with held luggage, a very early start the next morning, etc. Plus, we loved his beautiful Belgian Shepherd, Kokomo! Great – and very quiet – room with nice antiques and a comfy large bed.

I'm writing this review after staying with Micheal for several times and recommending him to numerous colleagues. I have stayed in at least 3 different rooms. First off, the breakfast is great! They get local products from local farmers and prepared well. The beds are comfortable and the linens are good. The location is good and central to the cathedral. As with many establishments, the people make this 5 Stars!!! All the staff are very nice and welcoming! Especially Koko! He's a true sweetheart!!
Thanks Mike and all at St. Ann's.

Room Tip: Be nice to Koko, if he comes to greet you...

We stayaed at St Ann's House for two nights the accomadation was lovely , and Michael and his wife were very friendly, they made us very welcome,.
The accomadation is 100yds from the entrance to the Catherdral grounds on a quiet side street, it was so easy to get around, the winter market was on and a lot of the shops are independent, all the usual big stores too. The room was fantatastic, good standard lovely and warm (winter) bed was comfy so slept well (important), breakfast was continental and very comprehensive, great.
Parking is by permit if you have a car £6-00 per day , a good place to park is within the catherdral square as this gets locked at night. we really enjoyed our stay would definately recomend this place,
we went to the cloisters for a meal, it was good, lamb shank, good food live music later o sat nights , also visited the haunch of venison, a very old pub with real character and alegidly haunted lol. again good ST Ann's is one not to miss, Margaret Ken , Paul and Marilyn,. thanks

Room Tip: first floor premium room was excellent

A warm welcome from Mike started off our weekend on a great note. He introduced us to the local area with some great tips and pointers on where to go/what to do. Our map was covered with a stash of ideas to make the most of our weekend from this centrally located B&B. Our room was spacious and comfy with all the mod cons and was in keeping with the beautiful old building. Fab breakfast followed the next morning and we were set to go. Would definitely return, and Salisbury was just as good!

We were a military party staying at St Ann's and we had a great time. The owner and his staff were very accommodating, cooked us a full breakfast every morning, and treated us as if we were the only tenants. This wasn't easy for them, as military personnel like to get started early.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone on a business trip or traveling with family. Great location; not in the middle of a busy city but not on the edge either.
If I come back for business again or vacation I will stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: The top floors have a great view of the cathedral (tallest in UK)
