I booked the B&B fairly late and was pleased with the 'can-do' attitude of Lizzie. The pleasent nature of the owners was not just restricted to internet traffic but was evident the moment we arrived in the courtyard when we were greeted by Lizzie and her dog. The walk
around the premises and friendly offer of pub guides, DVDs and local sites all made our stay all the more pleasent. The room was well proportioned and the bed was extremely comfortable. Although the presence of the A36 outside was initially a concern, the ambient noise was so low that even in the dead of night, traffic noise was not an issue as the deep duvet and serene four poster bed induced a good nights rest.

The following morning greeted us with a fantastic English breakfast made with local produce, but also a plethora of fresh fruit and pastries that really hit the spot on a lovely sunny Spring weekend.

Overall, Lizzie and David have done a great job of turning this farmhouse into a quality and friendly B&B that i fully intend to revisit. (ask for the 4 poster room with the massive en-suite bathroom if you visit:-)

We stayed here for two nights over Easter. David and Lizzie have an excellent friendly and warm B&B, which is very well presented. It's great for kids because of the pool, trampoline, chickens, sheep, and not to forget the lovely Poppy, the dog.

They went out of their way to help us find places to eat, and the breakfast was one of the nicest we've ever had in a B&B. We would have no hesitation in recommending this to all different types of people, and can't wait to go back!

We loved our stay at this beautifully kept farmhouse.
We wanted a lovely romantic little get away and that is exactly what we got with a fantastic four poster bedroom, with large spacious bathroom we did'nt want to leave!!

Service was top notch, great cooked breakfast in the morning to get you ready for sight seeing in Salisbury. Liz and her family were great hosts and really looked after us.It was exactly what we wanted.

We will certainly be back for more!

We were looking for somewhere to stay at the last minute in the half term break, and as we were just popping down to Wiltshire for 2 days we wanted somewhere within easy reach of the sites we planned to visit (Stone Henge, Salisbury, Winchester Cathedral and countryside). After several phone calls to various B&Bs and hotels, all booked up, we came across Newton Farmhouse. Lizzie answered the phone with a bright and breezy manner and instantly said that she had a room free...after a long day in the car and well & truly battered by the icey winds that whip across the site at Stone Henge we were more than happy to get to the Farmhouse. What a welcome relief! Instantly greeted by Poppy (4 legs, fluffy likes her tennis ball a lot) and David (2 legs, less fluffy...more human) we were greeted by Lizzie, given a comprehensive run down of all of the great places to eat, DVDs we could borrow and what we could expect for breakfast. They were having a BT cable fitted when we arrived and the engineer was drilling and banging quite a bit outside our room. Lizzie spontaneously offered to move us to another room that was quieter. After perusing the really well prepared folder of local information we decided on a place to eat and Lizzie booked us table at the pub down the road for our evening meal, which was wholesome and really very good value and lent us a couple of DVDs from their collection for the night. We had a lovely room, four poster bed with a small but well laid out bathroom. Being February I thought I might get chilly in the night, but I slept soundly and was really cosy. Our breakfast was lovely, selection from the continental menu, fruit and pastries, juices and the full English if you wanted it....yummy. I even sneaked in a slice of ginger cake to finish. We had a lovely stay, and would thoroughly look forward to visiting David, Lizzie, Poppy and family again.
