We walked straight from the train to the Old Rectory. We had to get directions but found it quick enough. It was a spacious room with a huge bathroom with a separate shower from the bathtub. The tub was a big hit after a long day's walk about town. Trish is the perfect hostess, friendly and eager to please. The continental breakfast was superb as was the breakfast room. If we come to Salisbury again we will definitely stay here. A quiet and restful place with all the necessities and many of the luxuries. Good cable television also. Thanks, Trish.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Old Rectory. The breakfast was filling & an enjoyable change from cooked breakfasts. Good location - walking distance from town. Trish has some Australian connections & vegemite is available. The rooms are comfortable & clean. Salisbury is a great base for the area. Don't miss the tour of the Cathedral Spire.

We left New Zealand for a six week sprint around the UK and Brian & Trish provided us with the first of the 19 B&B's we stopped at over that period. Whilst all of these were good, and some were great- the Old Rectory was exceptional. The room was spacious, light and spotless, the breakfast was very good and the location was excellent.
But the incident that set it apart was on our third and final day when Brian offered to drive us to pick up our rental car, It turned out the firm had shifted to a new location well out of town and Brian
insisted on driving us there. A trip that would have been a 50 pound cab ride! Way beyond the call of duty.

We stayed with Trish for 7 nights in February and truly enjoyed every minute of our stay there. We were in Salisbury for work-related purposes and so spent a lot of time indoors. Trish and Brian were such attentive and warm hosts that we felt immediately welcomed. Breakfast was a comprehensive continental breakfast and Trish made that special effort to make our stay stress-free (very appreciated!), tending to all our requests right from the start.

The Annetts room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a great view of St Edmund's Church (?). The spotless ensuite bathroom was simply divine, with a separate long bath and a shower stall and well-carpeted so your feet are never cold! The toiletries were well-chosen and the tea/coffee/daily cookies tray were a treat to come back to. We had a peek into the other double room and it looked big for 1 person and cosy enough for 2.

The location was ideal, a short trip to the heart of town took no more than 10 minutes, and it was really quiet and peaceful all day ( we would know..)

Thanks Trish for the the friendly banter, words of encouragement and amazing amazing hospitality. Five golden stars!!

We enjoyed our stay at The Old Rectory. Trish our host was great to us. We had delicious breakfasts every morning & the B&B is a very short walk into town. This makes it quiet and serene. The twin room was spacious (for the UK) and bathroom very good. I stayed with my elderly mother and we were both very happy. Trish & her partner went out of their way to help us. I would definately recommend this B&B. Good value and very nice.
