“Poncey overpriced Pub”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

This 'pub' has the dubious privilege of selling the most expensive pint in Salisbury, at nearly four quid a pint! We went there for a lunchtime beer and a sandwich. The sandwiches have their crusts cut off, so there's not much left of them, add in half a dozen crisps and charge over £5. We'd had enough, so popped down to Wetherspoons, where we could eat like Kings for those prices!

“Exceptional salmon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

If you feel like an early dinner, the market inn a restuarant adjacent to the market that is open earlier. I had salmon with potatoes mashed. It sounds borning, but it was presented wonderfully and the garlic butter sauce was exceptional. They gave out complementary appetizers of bread and butter, which was good to eat while waiting for my meal. It took a tiny bit longer to get my meal, but it was worth the wait. It was very tasty.

“Great pub great food excellent staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

Under new management not sure of his name but he's a lovely welcoming man - nothing too much trouble for him. He didn't have enough high chairs on mothers day so he went out and borrowed one from another local business.

Food fantastic best roast in Salisbury. Great meat and proper roast potatoes rather than deep fried that u get in mot places. Tasty gravy and good veg. Nice deserts but could do with more of selection.

Fire place upstairs and down so warm cosy feel.

Overall great

“Excellent food & excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Me and my husband visited Salisbury in March 2013 and stumbled across the Market Inn. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the decor was very well done. Although there was a mix up with the food, the staff were most apologetic and really did look after us. They insisted on bringing us free drinks even though we were happy with the food we received. The food was incredible and were very pleasantly surprised at just how good it was. We were so impressed by the service and food, we returned for lunch the next day. We will definitely return for dinner in the near future.

“Family friendly and tasty food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

The pub/restaurant was devasted by fire just over a year ago and the owners have taken advantage by rebuilding and refurbishing without losing its identity as an old Salsbury establishment. It is now run by a family of Italians who couldn't be more helpful and friendly. THey cater for all tastes (including gluten free) and also provide smaller meals for children. Children are welcomed and the staff are patient! Perhaps they could provide more selection for their tastes though (the simple things like chicken nuggets or fishfingers and chips!) as the sausage which our grand-daughter selected was a bit too spicy and more for the adults.
