We have stayed at this Bed and Breakfast many times now and always try to fit in a visit if we are ever south of Bristol! The house has many beautiful antiques, but is welcoming and cosy. Lovely clean linens and very comfortable beds. The breakfasts are second to none, using locally sourced fresh foods and cooked and served by the charming owners Diana Gifford Meade and her son Michael Mertens.
They keep a delightful English country garden with the river Till running through.
The house is quietly situated towards the end of the village, but a short walk through the water meadow leads to the local pub serving excellent food.
We have visited with several American friends over the years who have all gone back with enthusiastic tales of the English Bed and Breakfast, which features just as high in their holiday memories as nearby Stonehenge and Salisbury Catherdral!
